I used to drink green beer on St Patricks Day until...I over indulged and regurgitated green beer. Now I just drink plain beer on St Paddys. (within limits)

I usually make Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner on St. Patricks Day. When the kids were young, they would wake up to find green milk for breakfast. They always looked forward to it!

JC Jones said...

I sometimes fix Coned Beef and cabbage but not every year. I am a GFC follower. Would love to have you follow back.

Sam Herrmann said...

We don't do anything too special. 2 of our daughters love to make leprachaun traps and I have fun setting them off. Sometimes we color the milk green (or should I say the leprachauns color it green!)

When I was a teacher, I used to place green paint leprechaun "footprints" around the classroom for the kids to find on St Patrick's day.

Yvonne W. said...

When the 5 kids were growing up I made them green foods and treats and told them leprechauns were in the house and they would play little harmless jokes or leave unexpected green treats in random places and would always take away all the boxes of cereal except lucky charms that day. We always wore green.

Now that the kids are grown up and on their own, my husband and I will wear something green if we have anything and then either way we will go out to eat an irish pub restaurant like bennigans.

For St.Patrick's Day we plant clover. Yup clover, you see we have rabbits that run around our property (they are pets) and they love clover and because clover is the luck of the Irish we thought it would be fun to plant cover that we could feed the rabbits. It was fun and the rabbits liked it too. We also popped green popcorn and strung it for the squirrels and birds. Just thought we would spread a little Irish luck with our country critters.
