It has been years since I last either had my hair colored professionally or at home. Right now I am in a salt and pepper stage--mostly white in the front. My original dark brown hair still can be seen from behind. I have thought about coloring it again--but the thought of it growing out--ouch! I love that this kit is semi permanent-it will eventually wash out. I also LOVE that it is cruelty free. Should I or shouldn't I-that is the question. I will have to think about this. In the meanwhile if you do color your hair then this product seems to be the way to go.

Don't use too much heat on your hair to keep it healthy!
I treat my hair with VO5 hot oil treatment once a week.
I use rice water for deep conditioning

It's important not to strip all the natural oils from your hair, so don't wash your hair every single day. Also, let your hair air dry when possible and use as little heat and styling tools as possible.
A good conditioner or mask helps me!
I condition it regularly and don't wash it every day as it tends to dry out.
