She gets a letter from her mother telling her she might be getting a large inheritance. Oh--did that cause problems!! She did not want the money --unfortunately her aunt told one of her friends--you know how that can go!
She bumped into an old friend who invited her to stay with them in the country. Kate thought that might be a good idea and said okay. Now Kate was prone to accidents--and at the last dance she had attended with her aunt she had been saved by a very good looking man. She had never met him before and figured she never would again.
He lived near where she was visiting---I don't want to say anymore or I might give away the entire plot!! Just know that there is a very happy ending!!
