$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-Murdered for Art-Dianne Harman Ends 4/10

Monday, March 25, 2024

I am forever grateful that I never decided to collect art after reading this!! My Mom was an artist but never attempted to sell any of her works--she did have an art show once. The people who do seem to be cut throats--at least that is how this novel portrays them!!

Chef Dani Rosetti was asked by an old friend to cater a dinner for a prestigious art auction. She accepted. The menu she created was perfect--unfortunately there was a lot of animosity among the attendees. Luckily her sou chef (also a PI) was with her--because the most disliked of the guests was found murdered.

With so many suspects-how would he ever figure out who did it?

It has been a while but there are some really delicious recipes at the end of this one--Now if I was only a better cook then I am!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

The serene Napa Valley sets the stage for a thrilling Plein Air art auction mystery that turns deadly.

Chef Dani Rosetti, transformed into an amateur sleuth, along with her sous-chef Arthur, the owner of an international private investigation company, steps into the high-stakes world of Plein Air art at Thornton’s Auction House. Their culinary prowess is unexpectedly matched by their knack for investigation.

As they delve into a plot filled with forgery, deceit, and betrayal, they uncover the dark underbelly of the art world, where authenticity and fraud blur. With every brushstroke hiding a story and every canvas a secret, Dani, Arthur, and his right-hand man, Matt, face the ultimate challenge: solving a mystery where art and ambition had led to murder.
