$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-Murder on Jupiter Island-Dianne Harman Ends 12/2

Tuesday, November 16, 2021

Somehow or another every job Dani takes ends in either a murder or something else horrendous! Anna, Dani's 10 year old niece remarks on this--but then goes on to ask for a pair of those really expensive shoes--you know--the ones with the red soles--a 10 year old fashionista! It seems she has been reading her Nanny's fashion magazines. To top it off the place where they will be there will be the editors of 4 of the biggest fashion magazines.

It seems that Anna has a premonition--one of those editors was found dead in her room. Nobody liked her--including her husband--but all had alibis. Arthur, who besides being Dani's Sou Chef also has his own PI business. He was asked by the owner of the house to please look into it--then the police also asked him as other high profile cases were also popping up.

Arthur was about to give up when he had a thought--will they figure out who done it and how--will they be able to get the person? You will have to read this to find out!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

The editor of Chic magazine, JoJo Morales, was a fashion icon. Too bad she was murdered at the meeting of the world’s leading fashionistas on Jupiter Island, Florida.

She had a lot of enemies, and they were all at the dinner Chef Dani catered at JoJo’s partner’s spectacular waterfront home. And how fitting she was poisoned using her grandmother’s antique atomizer, the very grandmother who had groomed her to rise to the top of the fashion industry.

The local police detective assigned to the case has to suddenly leave to handle another case. He asks Arthur, Dani’s catering sous-chef, to take over the case, since Arthur is the owner of a private investigation company. Cooking is his avocation, but finding murderers is his vocation.

It seems like everyone had a motive to murder JoJo, from her philandering husband, to the top fashion editors in the world. But when all of them have airtight alibis for where they were when the murder occurred, now what?

This is the 5th book in the Chef Dani Rosetti Cozy Mystery Series by a USA Today Bestselling Author. The editor of Chic magazine, JoJo Morales, was a fashion icon. Too bad she was murdered at the meeting of the world’s leading fashionistas on Jupiter Island, Florida.

Yours is a unique solution for the shoe dilemma. I don't think the pre-teen or teenager would go for that solution. I'd suggest they do chores for neighbors or do babysitting to earn money to pay the difference between average shoes and the super expensive designer shoes. In the long run, it pays for kids to really learn the value of a dollar and earn their own money for expensive non-necessary items.

Why red paper?? If they want expensive shoes let them work for it. My parents had six kids. We had to help out with paying the bills and buying our own school clothes.

Good idea. I had to start buying my own clothing, shoes at a certain age. We did chores but not for money. we had to figure our own way of earning it. I just scouted garage sales. Still practically new and a lot cheaper.

Interesting idea but I don’t know if that would work with most teenagers. They might resent your efforts.

My answer would be how much they cost and how long it would take her to earn that amount of money.

I don't have children, but I think kids these days would see right through that. Sorry to criticize your idea.

That's a great idea, but I don't think my daughter would go for it though.

My kids want the real thing. They may get them but it would be a big big deal.

My kids are grown, but when they were that age I don't think the red paper trick would fly. I would ask them to earn some money to help pay for them.

I think that would be a wonderful solution. My kids are grown but I don't think they would have gone for it when they were that age.

I don't think that would work!

My daughter isn't into brand names, she is mainly concerned that the shoes are comfortable.
