$25 Amazon/PP-1-WW-The Troubled Tycoon-Dianne Harman-Ends 7/12

Friday, June 25, 2021

This is my favorite of all the series Diane writes. Why--because I just love Al, the ex mob guy with the Brooklyn accent who has gone kinda straight--unless it is necessary to bend some rules!!

Cooper is one of those super rich guys-but-- as with all of us there are things that he has done that he is not too proud of. But what was so bad that someone is trying to take him down--way down? Jake and Al take the case and are trying to figure out who it is. The last place they think anything will happen--is where it does!

Besides their wives they also brought both their dogs to a black tie dinner. Thank heavens they did!! You will have to read this one to find out what one of the dogs did!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

When you're a tycoon and you sit on top of the business mountain, seems like a lot of people want to see you fall. And someone definitely wanted Cooper to fall. He was at the top, but he'd made a lot of enemies in order to get there.

Then there were the women in his life, and he'd be the first to admit he'd wronged a few. When it became clear that someone was out to destroy Cooper by ruining his reputation and the companies he owned, he hired Jake and Al, the retired ex-mobster, to find out who it was. But sometimes there's nothing better than a dog to save the day!

Follow Jake and Al throughout Seattle and Bainbridge Island as they search for the person who wants to destroy Cooper. With each passing day, the hunt becomes more intense, because now the person they're looking for is intent not only on destroying Cooper, but killing him as well.

This is the 16th book in the Northwest Cozy Mystery Series by a USA Today Bestselling Author with plenty of dogs and recipes. Download now and start reading!

Well a company lied to me about a product then won't take the product back. So when They made a mistake on the bill , I didn't tell them . :)

I believe highly in karma. So I don't seek revenge, I just let karma do it's job.

Never took revenge on someone, just try to get along with them or stay away.

Does ramming the back of your pick-up truck count?

Hang on, I'm not sure that was really about anything I did....

I've not done anything that made someone take revenge, but the opposite has happened. My sister did something so destructive and traumatizing to me (and I'm still in therapy for it, many years later) and I took revenge. She still never saw the correlation between her actions and mine.

I don't believe I have but I've wanted to, especially when our children are the ones hurt. I just hope they get hit by the karma bus.

So far, I've never taken revenge on anyone - I let karma do the job.

Never really took revenge, unless you count doing it to my sister. But does revenge on a sibling count? LOL
