Book Review-Corridor Man 2: Opportunity Knocks-Mike Faricy

Bobby Custer is a very very very bad person--one you want to stay away from if you meet his like on the streets. He will use you any way he can and then--well don't expect to live! I actually had a nightmare after reading this one. This is the second in this series and yes I did read the first. Although it can be read as a stand alone you really need to read book one first.

He comes across as the nicest and most caring person in the universe--until he isn't. And no one sees it coming until it is too late!! Appearances can be really deceiving and Bobby knows how to grab opportunities when they knock.

This book is not for the faint of heart--reader beware!! Another cliff hanger--and I probably will read the 3rd book--but I think I will wait a while!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

HE SEEMS LIKE SUCH A NICE GUY ...UNTIL ITS TOO LATE

Psychotic, sociopathic, and always charming Bobby Custer begins to crawl back up society's ladder. Along the way a variety of people have his number, but Bobby has a special way of dealing with them, all of them.

He's the friendly next door neighbor, the guy at work who goes the extra mile just for you, only there's always a price to pay, and baby, you are going to pay.

The average person, upon learning of his employer’s “heart problems, his apparently estranged wife, the rebellious daughter,” thinks, “Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a shame.” Bobby merely smells opportunity.

Admittedly, part of his “boundaries issue” is legit; the feds did ask him to poke around, and the feds are the good guys … right? But the angles Bobby’s working are for the benefit of only one person: Bobby!

He destroys lives and careers with precision, and mops up the mess with the woman closest to hand.

The dark cloud hanging over the DASH law firm swirls into a murderous tornado, dispelling any doubt about the lying, rapacious, psycho the feds have unleashed.

Hang on to your seat as you read Corridor Man 2, maybe lock the door first because you'll be awake in the middle of the night, wondering if he can get to you . . . and he seemed like such a nice guy!

About the Author: (from his website)

The Dirty Lowdown called Mike Faricy America’s hottest new mystery writer. Robert Carraher referred to him as Minnesota’s Master of the Bizarre. Crime Scene referred to him as the next Carl Hiaasen. Crime Capers said; “Open at your own risk, you won’t put him down.” Under Cover wrote; “This guy is nuts and one hell of a lot of fun.” The Irish Gazette referred to “The laugh a minute story lines of Faricy’s deliciously engaging worlds.”

His Dev Haskell series books are stand alone, they can be read in any order. His Corridor Man series is written under the pseudonym Mick James and should be read in order. Faricy’s novels are filled with the sort of oddballs we’re all curious about, but wisely prefer to keep at a distance. His characters serve not so much as an example as they do a warning to us all. None of them will be saving the world from terrorism, international banking conspiracies or coups to take over the government. Rather, Faricy’s characters inhabit a world just below the surface of polite society.
