~ Wow, this took me back! Great memories of growing up when my Nanny and Grandpa had their cuckoo clock hanging in their home. I remember when we visited how I would wait for the hour for the cuckoo to come out and chirp. My nanny would show me how she took great care of it, moving the chains. I would have to brush up on the care of this. Those were great times and treasure the memories. Would be wonderful to pass along to my grandchildren someday.~
PS.. I bet my cats would get a kick out it! >^..^<

My grandparents had a cuckoo clock hanging in their living room, that my uncle got for them when he was stationed in Germany. I always loved it, and have always wanted one. It would be like memories of them.

Cuckoo clocks remind me of early childhood at my parent's house. I now have a Christmas version of one that I have had for many years. It quit working this past Christmas and I missed it.

When I was growing up my grandparents had a cuckoo clock. My grandfather would wind it every night before bedtime. I was supposed to get the clock when my grandmother passed away but it stopped working the day she died.

A Cuckoo clock reminds me of my Grandparents house! When I was just a kid, our family had traveled via Station Wagon, from Detroit to San Diego, and upon arriving at their house, I'll always remember their Cuckoo Clock that seemed to be welcoming us! Of course, we stayed here in San Diego, and I've often wondered what ever became of that beautiful Cuckoo Clock!
