Oatmeal-Hot with less sugar!

In the colder months I get a hankering for hot cereal--oatmeal to be exact. I have Quaker Instant Oatmeal Lower Sugar, Flavor Variety Pack in my apartment right now. I love the Cinnamon and Brown Sugar and also the Apple and Cinnamon the most, but do really like all of them. They are so easy to prepare -just empty the packet into a bowl--add some boiling water--and voila! It couldn't get easier or tastier. The lower sugar variety which I tend to buy tastes no different to me then the full sugar ones.



One of my friends turned me on to Seneca Apple Chips. Not only are they the perfect snack right out of the bag but today I tried something. I was about to prepare the Apple and Cinnamon oatmeal when I thought---why not crumble some of those Apple Chips into the bowl before adding the boiling water, I did it--What a delightful and tasty breakfast I just had!!

Have you ever crumbled dried fruits into your hot cereal? Try it-you may like it--and I just may try other dried fruit at some point--and so should you!
