While I would love to take a young family member someone into my house to care for, given my age, it would only work for a short period of time.

I absolutely could & would. I would do anything for the child! I'd try my hardest to maintain some sense of my normal lifestyle but most of it woudl have to change.

Hmm that's a rather big commitment, it'd depend on the situation really, but in general, probably.

I would be fine with taking in a child but I realize it would radically change my life!

James Robert said...

Well, I'm a dad but I'd take in someone else. I seem to have so many here daily, even besides my own kids so it would not be an issue.

Kari Lorraine said...

I know that I would not be able to take in a child. I couldn't handle all that responsibility.

I have done this early on in my life.. it was very hard going to university and being a caregiver for a younger family member.. but family is family and that is all that matters....

If I was going to take in a family member I would have to be willing to change my life to care for her.

Yes. My parents often took young family members in for periods of time for different reasons. We loved having them.

Yes. It would take some sacrifice, but it can be done.

At point in life now, I don't think I could do this. Earlier in life I may have been able to do so.

I think I'd be able to do it. I've sort of done it throughout my life (though, I wasn't single).

Yes I would do it.

Yes, without a second thought to it! It would be a struggle but saying no would not even be in my vocabulary for the matter.

I would do that for someone I love.

Yes, I would never want a child to go into the system.

I would love to take in a child if I could manage to work and still give them the attention a child needs
