Al is by far my favorite character in all of Dianne Harman's books--and I actually got really upset when I started reading and it was Al's funeral! That funeral scene was really well written and had me going for the tissue box! How happy I was that there was an amazing twist!
However, there is a hit out on Al and he has to figure out who it is. He uses some of his old friends and with the help of his wife and her friends--off they go to Chicago. There really are a lot of twists and turns in this one and a lot of suspects!
Will Al manage to find the guy after him so that he can go about his new life Mafia free?

I don't have a favourite character, but I like the look of this Chicago setting. A good location can add so much to a novel :-)
I have not read any of her books yet. I like series with interesting settings like Chicago.

My husband felt the same way about Al. As a matter of fact, he came down the stairs with the book in his hand and said, "How could you kill Al?"
