Book Review-Life In Annwn: The Story of Willy Jones' Afterlife -Owen Jones

Wednesday, December 19, 2018

This novel takes off from where A Night in Annwn leaves off (see my review here). This book is about life after death--whether you beleive in it or not--it does sound like a place I would like to be when the time comes!

Karma, spirituality and what can happen when one of your dearly departed decides that it is time for you to join in the gentle push for world happiness and peace. It makes the assumption that you are reborn many many times and if you are really lucky you meet up with your soul mate on both Annwn and the Surface.

This book is both entertaining and for many will be eye opening---Just remember Karma is always there--watch your step!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Life In Annwn continues on directly from where A Night In Annwn left off. Willy has passed over and he is at last with the wife that he has missed for a decade or more, his beloved Sarah. However, right from the off, life in Annwn, the ancient Welsh word for Heaven, is not what he had been expecting for nearly all of his time on Earth, or The Surface, as she calls it, as Annwn is underground.

His first surprise is when Sarah takes him to an inn to recover from the ordeal of his funeral, but it doesn't stop there. Every 'day' reveals new surprises, until what is mysteriously called The Block comes down and he experiences Life After Death as it really is.

Life In Annwn is a surprise in its own right, but it is also a comical look at an alternative reality that just could be closer to The Truth than anything else you have ever read!

Life In Annwn is a must read, because it could change the way you view things.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Author Owen Jones, from Barry, South Wales, came to writing novels relatively recently, although he has been writing all his adult life. He has lived and worked in several countries and travelled in many, many more.

He speaks, or has spoken, seven languages fluently and is currently learning Thai, since he lives in Thailand with his Thai wife of ten years.

"It has never taken me long to learn a language," he says, "but Thai bears no relationship to any other language I have ever studied before."

When asked about his style of writing, he said, "I'm a Celt, and we are Romantic. I believe in reincarnation and lots more besides in that vein. Those beliefs, like 'Do unto another...', and 'What goes round comes around', Fate and Karma are central to my life, so they are reflected in my work'.

His first novel, 'Daddy's Hobby' from the series 'Behind The Smile: The Story of Lek, a Bar Girl in Pattaya' has been followed by four sequels, but his largest collection is 'The Megan Series', eighteen novellas on the psychic development of a young teenage girl, the subtitle of which, 'A Spirit Guide, A Ghost Tiger and One Scary Mother!' sums them up nicely.
As Owen puts it:

'Born in the Land of Song, living in the Land of Smiles'.

Sounds like a really unique theme, and a good book to read in the winter esp at night in a storm with the wind howling and you're snug under a warm blanket!

Thanks for reading my latest novel so soon after its publication, Michele, and thanks for the review too.
If there are any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.
All the best,

This sounds like the kind of book I like to read in a snowstorm esp at night when the power went out, and reading by flashlight while the wind howls!!!
