This giveaway is sponsored by Carpet One and hosted by Mom Does Reviews.

Breast Cancer-that word that all dread hearing. Research is being done-but so much more must be learned before a cure is found. One of my cousins was cured--not every one is that lucky-it was a long and sometimes painful process. I would like to mention that Breast Cancer can affect Men as well as Women!

Carpet One donates 25% of the purchase price of each pink ribbon welcome mat sold through the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcome-A-Cure initiative to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I love it!

Read the descriptions of the various mats they have slated for this initiative--then click on Sherryl's review to read even more. Come back here and enter. Even if you do not win you might like to purchase one of these mats anyway or give directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or another Breast Cancer Research organization if you are able.

About the prize/product:

Each year, it is expected that over 250,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and nearly 40,000 of those women will die. Improvements and funds for breast cancer research are essential to preventing deaths, finding a cure and eradicating the disease for good. 25% of the purchase price of each pink ribbon welcome mat sold through the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcome-A-Cure initiative is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So far, the campaign has raised nearly 1 million dollars for a variety of breast cancer research charities. Purchasing a welcome mat contributes directly to raising funds for breast cancer research and hopes for finding a cure.

One lucky reader will win a Welcome-A-Cure Mat from Carpet One. This year the Welcome-A-Cure Mats fall into four (4) categories:

I volunteered and worked our local BCA Walk event. I donated over 150 new cell phone cases to cancer survivors. I also put together little bags with treats and BCA gear and my mom and I took them to give out to cancer survivors at a cancer camp that my mom attended this summer. My mom is a cancer survivor and I tested positive for the BRCA-2 gene and according to the geneticist I have an 80% of having at least one cancer in my lifetime!!! So my mom and I are very active in the BCA community and keep up with our every 6 month testings... It's scary, but it's realistic, and the only way to be stronger than the cancer is to be smarter and find it as soon as it hits so it's all about preventive methods and continuous testing!!
