Reed Diffusers--I NEED New Ones!

Friday, August 4, 2017

Well, I received the Water Lily fragrance Oil the other day and proceeded to pour some of it into the small vase like diffuser I have had for ages. It is so pretty-an egg shell blue and it is in my living room. The closest I could find was on Willow Tree Pottery an Etsy site and sells for $20.00 (no, I am NOT an affiliate!)

Wait a minute--the scent of the oil is perfect--but little to no scent was wafting into the room! So how does she know the scent is perfect you are thinking. Remember that I am a total klutz--not only did I spill a very small amount onto my hands--but then I picked up the diffuser reeds to turn them around!! Turning them upside down did not seem to do the trick--time for new reeds? Where should I get them and what kind should I get? I asked that question on Google search.

Well according to the article I found How To Choose The Best Diffuser Reeds I need to find ones made of Rattan. For the reason why go read the article! Now to go find some. Reeds last a pretty long time-especially if you are going to stick to the same fragrance. I've never seen replacement reeds sold in any of the stores I frequent--so to the internet I went.

Yikes--plenty of replacement reeds to be had--but in quantities of 50+. I really don't need that many--Wait--it seems that Yankee Candle sells them separately!! Maybe I will give them a call or stop in the store near me!! Maybe The Christmas Shoppe? Well the search is on!!

I hope you find reeds at an affordable price. I have so many allergies I don't dare to use anything like that. My daughter seems to be able to use fruity ones but not flower or wood types.

I love reed diffusers they make your home smell great. I have a neighbour who cooks with strong curry and it helps neuteralize the air and get rid of odors.

I stopped using them, and need to start back. I love the smell of the scents. They really are easy to use and a great way to scent a room.

I'd rather use an essential oil diffuser. For some reason the oils used in this kind of diffuser give me a headache.

Getting ready for fall, I will be pulling this out again. I cannot wait to use the diffuser again.
