Rosie had a very bad experience while working in NYC at a prestigious hotel. It wasn't the job--it was a guy she let herself fall head over heels for--and when he dumped her - she was heartbroken and enraged. (you will have to read the book to find out why)--but she did get revenge!!! So she quit her job and went home to England. She got a job at a rundown hotel complete with a lovable set of characters.

Then the unthinkable happened--the owner--a sweet old gentleman sold the hotel to a couple of crazy hotel owners who were determined to make it exactly like their other hotels in Florida. Never mind that this was a hotel in the English countryside complete with long time residents. Then they sent Rory to oversee the changes----

Poor Rosie--she likes Rory but after NYC doesn't know whether she can trust him---besides--he is to oversee the "changes" which Rosie does not quite like.

The machinations that Rosie goes through to over ride some of the odious changes will make you cheer!!!

The ending is wonderful and not what you will expect. The last line will make you chuckle--I mean really why would you ever have pink flamingo pillows and wicker furniture in England!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

‘Absolutely gorgeous’ Debbie Johnson

Wriggle your toes in the sand and feel the warm breeze on your face at the hotel that’s full of dreams…

Three years after ditching her career in New York City, Rosie never thought she’d still be managing the quaint faded Victorian hotel in her seaside hometown.

What’s worse, the hotel’s new owners are turning it into a copy of their Florida properties. Flamingos and all. Cultures are clashing and the hotel’s residents stand in the way of the developers’ plans. The hotel is both their home and their family.

That’s going to make Rory’s job difficult when he arrives to enforce the changes. And Rosie isn’t exactly on his side, even though it’s the chance to finally restart her career. Rory might be charming, but he’s still there to evict her friends.

How can she follow her dreams if it means ending everyone else’s?

This is a brand new standalone novel from the author of the Carlton Square series with a whole new cast of characters to fall in love with!

I can't wait to read to see how everything turns out when he comes to enforce the rules. Just looking at the cover it didn't appear to be a book I would like but I think it will be!

This sounds like one interesting read and wonder what all they did to make it like their other Florida hotels.

You know what they say about a woman scorned, I can't wait to read what she did. That hotel is going to look a bit weird but then I have never been to England. As always I want to know the ending.
