Book Review-The Quiz Show, A Mystery-Duncan Whitehead

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

This is a very short book which will have you thinking and hoping that this becomes a series!

There was only one case that eluded a retired FBI agent--and even after retiring he just could not stop thinking about it. Then one day as he was watching television---it came to him. The thread that bound all these murders together. He pursues it-even though his friends who are still at the FBI think it is another dead end---But is it?

This will take you no time at all to read and yes, I think you will want the sequel as badly as I do.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

A retired FBI serial killer hunter who solved every case but one. A flawless record apart from one elusive killer who got away. No clues, no motive, no logical connection between the victims. Until now.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Award Winning Writer, Duncan Whitehead, was born in England and is the author of the best-selling and award-winning GORDONSTON LADIES DOG WALKING CLUB Trilogy. The series, inspired by the quirky characters and eeriness in the real life Savannah neighborhood in which he once lived is a humorous mystery, which boasts an assortment of characters and plot twists.

He has also written over 2,000 spoof and comedy news articles, under various aliases, for a variety of websites both in the US and the UK.

He has written further novels; a comedy set in Manhattan, THE RELUCTANT JESUS, published in April 2014 and republished in July 2015 & three short stories.

Duncan is well known for his charity work, kindness to animals, children and old people; and, of course, his short-lived bullfighting career and his hideous hunchback.

In February 2045, he invented time travel and now spends much of his time in either the future (where he has won the lottery an astonishing 117 times) and the present day.

The thing about this book is that I want to read it right now at 1:02 AM. I do not like to wait. It seems like I forget or lose interest. Before my anxiety and panic attacks became so prevalent I watched all the cold case shows I could find. I guess it is the nosy-ness in me. With this book being short I can read it then still fit in a comedy or easy pet book before retiring.

I love books like these. I am sure many investigators have a case that they never solve that bothers them even years after they retire. Looks like an interesting story! :)
