CaelumBookTour

Although this is definitely not a genre I would normally read I did end up enjoying it. Of course being kind of ancient I had trouble keeping up with all the imaginary werewolves, gargoyles, ghosts, vampires, demons and assorted people who had the ability to perform magic! I really felt for Eva, the guardian angel who really wasn't too good at her job--but she tried so hard!! Of course the Three Fates had to make an appearance and I was routing for Eva!! How she got all those disparate entities to cooperate makes for really good reading.

This book would be perfect for your tween and you might enjoy it also!!! But you better read it first-only you can tell what is right for your child! I was just informed that it is considered Urban Fantasy and meant for adults!

Caelum – Olde City Angels Book 1

Eva doesn’t claim to be a good guardian angel, but she tries. After she loses two charges, the Powers That Be begin to doubt her abilities. To redeem herself, Eva sets out to rescue Elsie, granddaughter of the former king of the Fae. A demon has kidnapped Elsie to complete an ancient ritual that will allow him to slip through the veil between Earth and Hell during the Sturgeon moon.

Thomas, an angel liaison, finally lands his first mission. But when he’s paired with the angel responsible for his uncle’s death, he has to put aside their differences to get the job done.

With unlikely friends in tow, Eva and Thomas are in a race against time. Save Elsie, save the world—oh, and save Eva’s job.

Mandie Stevens has always been accused of living in her own world so she decided to put it to paper. When she isn’t Mandiebiowriting you can catch her lounging on the beach reading. She has ridiculously little feet and would be happy eating seafood every day.

I'd only get this for your niece if she was over 18+ this isn't a YA book by any means. ~mandie

I would definitely give it a go, myself. I love to see your reviews and give myself a bit of a headstart on something new to read. There are so many thousands of books out there, it can be hard to pick, sometimes!

You are definitely not ancient :) I don't usually read urban fantasy, as it seems you don't either, so I was glad to see your thoughts on this genre.

Sounds like an interesting read. It's not something that I would pick out for myself, but I think my sister-in-law would find it exciting.

I've read all the wizards, all the vampires. I'm ready for something new. I love the concept behind this with the main character being a guardian angel. Sounds like it's a fun read.
