E-Book GA-3-WW-Murder and the Monkey Band: High Desert Cozy Mystery Book 1-Dianne Harman-Ends 11/3

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

This is the 1st book in a brand new series by Dianne Harman and it is just as good as all her others. Must not forget the recipes-yup--recipes included! They all sound delicious!!!!

Marty Morgan is an art appraiser--not a detective but when she is asked to appraise the objects in the home of a woman who was recently murdered-that is exactly what happens. Oh she gets a lot of help from her sister who has psychic abilities as well as a lot of guff and teasing from her-especially about a very handsome detective who is assigned to the murder case. Of course Marty's black lab isn't too thrilled-----.

There are 4 suspects--will the real killer be found and will the stolen Monkey Band collection be recovered? As with all Dianne's novels this book will captivate you and keep you reading non stop until the last page (and then you can grab some of those delicious sounding recipes).

I would like to mention that a couple of Dianne's books are now on audiobook AND that she always has giveaways going on at her website. (VERY VERY VERY easy entry).

And 3 people age 18 years of age or older World Wide have a chance to win Murder and the Monkey Band-the first in the new series! Just scroll down and fill out the Rafflecopter below (I always make it easy!).

About the book: (from Amazon)

Seven Time Amazon All Star author with her latest in a brand new cozy mystery series - A High Desert Cozy Mystery Series.

Marty Morgan is a recently divorced antique and art appraiser who moves from the Midwest to live with her sister in High Desert, California, just outside of Palm Springs. Since their early childhood days, her sister has always possessed unexplained psychic abilities that often enable her to predict future events.

An antique appraisal in the home of a recently murdered woman puts Marty at the center of a search for the killer. Who did it? The woman’s son? The well-known collector of antique Meissen china? A professional art and antique thief? The owner of Mai Tai Mama’s Restaurant?

And just what part did the collection of Meissen Monkey Band figurines play in the murder? Detective Jeff Combs is just as determined to develop a relationship with Marty and her dog Duke as he is to solve the crime. Will the psychic abilities of Marty’s sister help her find the killer?

I love that you can get audio books! It's the only way I can read nowadays! I'd love to get my hands on this book, though- a good mystery is my favorite!

Oh this sounds spooky! Perfect time of year, but wow...I wouldn't go into that house even if I was a Realtor. Thanks for the review! I have several family members who are avid readers and I know to turn to your reviews to get ideas for gifts!

A thriller mystery plot with recipes included, that's a new one for me. :) Are these recipes of dishes cooked by the characters?
