Book Review-The One That Got Away-Nancy C Davis

I first heard of this author, actually I'm not sure when but I do know that I signed up for her emails and received 3 very well written very short stories. These short stories contained everything a cozy mystery should contain and each was 18 pages or less in PDF form! I read all three one right after the other non-stop-Yeah I enjoyed them that much!

Dinner with Dinah

The Maltese kitten

Evening to Forget

Then I realized I had purchased one of her cat cozy mysteries and even though it is the 4th book in this series it can definitely be read as a stand alone. This book can definitely also be read in one sitting--it will take longer then those shorts!

"Diane" the pen name of Millie Holland when she writes up her "Dear Diane" answers to readers e-mails in the newspaper she works for, is getting ready to move to another apartment with her 5 cats when she gets an e-mail which is very disturbing. She is given 3 days to solve the riddle or people will die! It seems she also consults with the local police department and her friend Marx is not too thrilled that Millie is off to investigate by herself--AND he is allergic to cats, but of course he says yes when she asks him to feed them the one night.

There are several twists and turns in this light cozy--I think you will enjoy it--I know I loved what the cats did to protect their mistress!!

I find inspiration through animals and my natural surroundings, and I spend most of my days and nights enjoying the company of my two cats Zada and Zelda.
