Puritan's Pride Vitamins

I have been purchasing Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) and COQ10 for many years from Puritan's Pride. It all started when one of my doctor's decided I needed Lipitor (a cholesterol lowering medicine). Little did either of us know that I would get a side effect that very few people get. It began to eat into my muscle function. My doctor said there was nothing that could be done--HA-like I would believe him. I went on line and did a lot of research and from what I was reading COQ10 helps the heart (which is after all a muscle)--so I began to buy it--I ran into a big problem-I could not swallow the large pills!! Then I noticed that Alpha Lipoic Acid may make other meds and supplements work better! Again--pills too large. I came across an ad for Puritan's Pride and went in to see the size of the pills---YEAH--small!!! And you know what--I did get a lot of my muscle function back!! Fast forward about 10 years and I had changed doctors. He does believe in both traditional and non traditional so when I told him what had happened and what I was still taking--he had only one question--where are you buying them--I told him Puritan's Pride and he smiled--he uses them too!!
Now remember-I am not a doctor and am not giving out medical advice--always check with your doctor BEFORE trying to cure yourself!!

After all these years of purchasing from Puritan's Pride and knowing what great prices they have (plus the size pills I need!) and after helping someone do a giveaway I finally found where I could become an affiliate-so that is what I did. If you purchase anything from the links I will get a small commission.

They now have lots of different products--Aromotherapy and Essential Oils and to my surprise my favorite Stevia sweetener--Puritan's Pride carries NuStevia products!!

And look what else they have--

I know someone who takes the CQ10 regularly. It's a little pricey, but def. worth it! Now I'm headed over to enter the contest. :)

My Doctor wants me on Cholesterol meds too and I refuse to take them due to 1. I heard the horror stories which to me do not seem all that rare. 2. I prefer natural meds when possible. I am so relieved to find your post and will talk to my doctor about this and begin using asap if possible. Honestly I would just go for it but since I have had type 1 diabetes for 45 years I had better check first :)

The kids and I take a lot of supplements, so I will have to check the prices there! I do think supplements are the way to go! So many drugs have bad side effects!

My parents get all of their supplements from Puritan Pride, they love it. They also take CQ10 regularly.

I really need to figure out which supplements I should take on a regular basis! I know I need iron because I don't eat meat and I'm borderline anemic!

Oh my gosh, I had goosebumps reading this. I was recently diagnosed with high cholesterol, but not to the point I am to take lipitor yet. I'm so shocked to hear that it ended up eating into your muscle functioning and your Doctor was basically like HUH - TOUGH. That is so scary! :( Glad you were smart enough to figure out there are clearly other options.

This goes to show you that not all doctors know what they are talking about. I am so glad you found a great doctor. I will have to check out these products for sure. Thanks for sharing. Good for you by the way for figuring this out on your own.

I've great reviews of Puritan's Pride from friends and colleagues. They're on reasonable price which is also good. I'm happy you've found the right supplement/brand for you, I hate BIG pills too!

Puritan's Pride is a great brand. We have used it for years. It's one of those no brainers, when buying supplements I don't want to guess at the quality. With Puritan's Pride there is no guesswork involved.

I haven't used this brand in a long time but it should be worth a shot. Supplements are helpful!
