Book Review - Inadvertent Disclosure - Melissa F. Miller

This is one of the books in the 9 book package I picked up at Amazon for .99. It is actually the second in the Sasha McCandless Series by this author. I just went in and got the 1st in the series which at the moment anyway is free--(they do change quite quickly so no promises!). Having never read a mystery by this author I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. There are references to the first book so I suppose you should read them in order--I really am curious as to how Sasha and her FBI agent got involved in the first place, but it did not ruin the story at all.

So much is happening--Sasha, who is the sole lawyer in her newly established law firm, has taken on a case and manages to prove to the small town judge that the other lawyer hasn't proved a thing and needs to do more work--and is about to leave when the judge decides that she is to take on a case where a person is going to be declared incompetent--he isn't--then the judge is murdered---and a whole lot more. This is actually a fast read which I think you will enjoy as they try to piece together what is happening all around them.

Tiny dynamo Sasha McCandless returns in Inadvertent Disclosure, the acclaimed follow-up to Irreparable Harm.
It's been six months since an airplane crash altered the course of attorney Sasha McCandless's professional and personal life. She's now focused on building her solo law practice and tending her budding relationship with federal air marshal Leo Connelly, who helped her stop a madman.

When Sasha drives from Pittsburgh to rural Clear Brook County to argue a discovery motion, she finds a town bitterly divided over the issue of hydrofracking the Marcellus Shale. Outsiders from the oil and gas industry and environmental activists threaten to rip apart the community's fabric.

Then the town's only judge is murdered, and Sasha can't just walk away. As she works to find the killer, she must race to save the town before it fractures beyond repair.

Amazon always has good offers and the books you get from there can be suprisingly good. I'm not a big fan of mystery but it must be a good read for one that does like it.

Nine books for .99 is a pretty sweet deal - especially for someone like you who loves to read so much. This sounds like a really good book, too!

Thanks so much for your review of Inadvertent Disclosure! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I wanted to pop in and say, yes, the first book in the series, Irreparable Harm, is still free and should be free for at least the rest of the month. :-)

And for those who were interested in the 99 cent bundle, it's called 9 Killer Thrillers, and features one story from nine different authors.

Have a great weekend!
Melissa

Almost all the books I read are $4.99 and under. Who can beat that? This story seems intriguing and I will have to put the whoe series on my books to read list.
