Where Can I Buy Jello Molds?

Thursday, August 8, 2013

I saw a post the other day on BlogwithMom about Jello Birthday cakes and how to make them. Since I LOVE Jello I decided to see where you can find interesting or unusual molds. I use sugar-free Jello these days but honestly it tastes just as good! So what did I find as I perused the internet? Molds come in every conceivable shape from simple to exotic. There are molds for children and there are a couple which are certainly for adults. As an aside, did you know that liquor can be used as part of the liquid to make jello?

Actually you probably already have jello molds in your kitchen right now! You know those cake pans? Well they can be used as jello molds! If you are looking for something different they are actually lots of places on-line where you can purchase them. Some are down right inexpensive—some a bit higher in price.

The first place to look is the Jello Website https://apfco.com/secure/w1381/products.cfm?CFID=16031832&CFTOKEN=21651630

They have various silicon molds and some for those Jigglers (those are the tiny molds that make jello that can be picked up and eaten by hand-kids seem to love those). The prices are very reasonable! They also have some Halloween molds. You just have to browse their website. They also give you ideas on how to make pudding cake! There was one that combined Jello and pudding into a cake and one that incorporates cake and jello!

Hayneedle.com http://www.hayneedle.com/product/wilton21052061aluminumfiretruckcakepan.cfm

Is a bit more expensive but they have fire trucks, Mickey Mouse and Princess Ariel to name a few. These are actually cake pans—but would work for Jello as well!

Latex Molds

has mustache molds!!

Of course you can always go to Ebay, Amazon or where ever else you like to shop and put Jello Molds into the search bar-there are virtually hundreds of molds out there and I’m sure you will find one that will be right for the occasion or event you are planning.

I have some chocolate molds that I used for my daughters first birthday. I've been meaning to use them for jello, but just haven't yet.

I see molds at yard sales quite often. Great idea to use cake pans in place of the jello molds.

I haven't thought of JELLO molds in years! I used to love when my mom used them when I was a kid!

I have actually never thought of using a cake pan as a jello mold but I have a silicon bunt pan that would work great and by the time I layer colors I would have enough for all the daycare kiddos to have some jello. What a great idea! Thanks!

And just and FYI I had to giggle at the jello molds for adults. Too funny!

I haven't made Jello in a LONG time. My kids would have fun making a jello cake. Thanks for the idea!

I haven't made any Jello in molds yet, we have normally just done it in a bowl. I'm sure that my children would love to have different designs for their jello.

I am not really a Jell-O fan, but I love making cakes in cake molds and even using cupcakes put together to make designs!

I used to love jelly as a kid - we had a mold where you could change the image in the top I always used to have fun picking which one to use each time x

I've got one in the shape of a flag that came with my jello one year. You're supposed to decorate it with with whip cream and blueberries. I haven't yet. LOL

And jello shots! I used to love those in my younger before children party all night days. :D

I never realized you could get so creative with Jello! I'll have to keep these in mind. It will make it more interesting for sure!

I actually like jello too but don't eat it too often. I have fond memories of the different things my mom would make way back when.

Very interesting MikiHope! I have not had Jello in a long time but used to love it with ice-cream. I loved the various colours. I can remember - red, green and yellow. Enjoy the rest of your week.

Mustache molds! Those would be simply awesome. I get jello molds, as well as all sorts of different molds for things like cake, ice cubes, and so on, at the Dollar Store. Can't beat the Dollar Store.

I also use candy molds for jello, my youngest thinks it is candy and I like that it isn't!

I always want to get some Jello molds for Halloween but end up remembering after the fact. I am going to check out the variety available. I like the fact that they are available in a variety of price ranges.

I only made jello once, and would love to work on making another one again. since we already have that ready-made kind of stuff, all i need is just a simple molding where i can find at home. if my son would love jello, i would keep making.

I have some animal molds that we use for Jello... but my son isn't a huge fan of Jello yet. He doesn't like anything that's squishy or stains his hands!

I got rid of a bunch of molds because we never use them. maybe I'll have to get back into using some. lol

I am terrible at molding jello. Same reason I don't bake much. I'll have to see if these work.
