Congratulations Sandy! Now all you have to do is reply to the email I am going to send you in a few minutes with your full name and mailing address and I will forward that on to the company who will be sending it direct to you.

So what are Krill anyway

According to a National Geographic article I read ( http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/invertebrates/krill/ )

“The lowly krill averages only about two inches (five centimeters) in length, but it represents a giant-sized link in the global food chain. These small, shrimp-like crustaceans are essentially the fuel that runs the engine of the Earth’s marine ecosystems.
Krill feed on phytoplankton, microscopic, single-celled plants that drift near the ocean’s surface and live off carbon dioxide and the sun’s rays. They in turn are the main staple in the diets of literally hundreds of different animals, from fish, to birds, to baleen whales.
Simply put, without krill, most of the life forms in the Antarctic would disappear.”

Omega 3 essential fatty acids are DHA and EPA. Both Krill and fish oil are a source of these important Omega-3 fats. As I am sure you have read and been told Omega-3 fats can really help you lower your cholesterol and generally improve your health. There has only been one test preformed so far in the comparison of fish oil to krill oil that I could find.

In addition to DHA and EPA Krill Oil contains, according to an article I read in About.com-Alternative Medicine (http://altmedicine.about.com/od/herbsupplementguide/a/krilloil.htm) , an antioxidant called astaxanthin which regular fish oil does not.

“Another reason krill oil is becoming popular is because it contains an antioxidant called astaxanthin. The algae that krill eat produces the bright red pigment astaxanthin that gives krill and other crustaceans such as lobster and shrimp their reddish-pink color.

Antioxidants protect our body cells from damage from free radicals, unstable substances that are thought to contribute to certain chronic diseases. Unlike many other antioxidants, astaxanthin crosses the blood-brain barrier, where it could theoretically protect the eye, brain and central nervous system from free radical damage.”

From everything I have read—not only on Everest Nutrition's Site—Krill Oil seems to give you more then regular fish oil. They guarantee the purity of their product and give a money back guarantee amongst other things. You really have to go to their site and read all about it! If I was able to take any kind of Fish oil or Krill oil (I, unfortunately am allergic to shellfish!)-I would definitely go with Everest Nutrition and their Krill Oil.

Side Effects

• According to ehow.com “side effects of krill oil can include bad breath, heart burn, upset stomach, nausea and loose stools. It is contraindicated in those who are allergic to seafood and for patients scheduled for surgery, since it can increase the risk of bleeding.” Always consult your physician before taking any over the counter supplements.

Everest Nutrition has been kind enough to offer one of my readers a bottle of Krill Oil—Please remember to put your email into every comment you make so that I can contact you if you are the lucky winner.
