You will definitely need tissues as Nicole Foster attempts to begin life again after hitting rock bottom. A former homicide detective there is enough in her childhood to mess up anybody. She ends up an addicted gambler--then her partner is bound an determined to prove the murder of a 5 year old girl is a man who swears he did not do it--but he is railroaded--he ends up committing suicide in prison.
Even though Nicole is kicked off the force she just can't let this case go. What she ultimately finds out will astonish you--you will never guess who and why this all happened. The absolute ending will throw you for a loop. There are so many twists and turns it will have your head spinning! I'm not sure if there is a sequel to this one--but if there is I want to read it.
