No, I'd never dress up a pet in expensive clothing and jewels. They aren't meant to be bothered with those cumbersome items. If I met someone who did that to their pet, I wouldn't say anything unless they asked me about it.

I have 3 black labs, I do not dress them up because they wouldn't let me. I think its cute when I see other dogs dressed up.

No, I would never dress my pet in expensive clothing and/or jewels. Unless asked, I wouldn't say anything to someone who did that to their pet, and if asked, I wouldn't be critical of their choice.

As a child I dressed up our cat in a doll's dress. The cat was not happy. Never expensive clothing or jewels. I don't think I would say any thing, if a friend dressed up their pet.

No my dog wouldn't even put a sweater I had bought for him on much less jewelery. If I met someone who did that to their pet, I wouldn't say anything.

My last pet was a kitty cat that I had for 14 wonderful years. I didn't dress her in outfits as she was an inside cat and would not have been very receptive to that. I would not say anything to a friend who chose to buy expensive jewellery or outfits for a pet. Whatever makes them happy.

No I never dressed up any of my pets when I had them.

I put doll clothes on one of my cats when I was a little girt, but that's it! I just wouldn't say anything if I met someone who did that.

I have a girlfriend who dresses her dogs up in clothes that she makes for them.. this is not for me.. my dog is not the breed that would take to that well.. I say everyone has the right to do whatever makes them and their pet happy!

I think it's cute when I see dogs dressed up, but with jewels and expensive clothes?? That might be going too far.

Rita Wray said...

No I have never done that. I wouldn't say anything to someone who did.

I have a cat but I have never dressed him up

Well, I only have cats & they do not tolerate wearing anything. The most I have tried are hats for Halloween & Christmas, but I'm lucky if they are on long enough to snap a photo.

We always had big dogs who wouldn't stand with being dressed up, let alone with anything expensive. We do have a friend, though, whose little chihuahua dresses up in cute sweaters in the winter...and she's adorable that way!

pippirose said...

No, I never have, nor will I ever. I kknow my dogs wouldn't like it.

Bernice Kennedy said...

I tried to dress up my dog once when I was a child but they didnt like it. I would not dress up an animal in expensive clothes or jewelry because they would tear it up or lose it.

LB said...

I don't think my cat would tolerate getting dressed up! I think if you are dressing your pet up in something really expensive then you have way too much money to burn!

Erin N said...

I had a cat in the past and tried to dress him up once before, but he didn't tolerate it at all!

Antoinette M said...

I don't dress my pets, but to each his own.

I have a dog and we dress her up but not in expensive "clothes", I think she likes it. LOL If someone wants to dress their animals up in expensive clothes or jewels, that's their business. I wouldn't say anything to them about it.

Veronica Lee said...

No I have never done that. I really wouldn't know what to say if I met someone who did it.

Kelly said...

I have had pets. I did put on a sweater on my little chihuahua before for warmth.

I have dogs and cats but have never dressed them. If someone can afford to dress their pets in expensive clothes that's fine with me.

Linda Fast said...

I grew up in the country and all our cats were barn cats so no we did not dress them up. My granddaughters have indoor cats and they dress them up but the cats seem to really hate it.

I have never dressed any of my dogs or cats up in anything expensive. Closest was a "cheap" sweater for one of my dogs for winter a couple of times. When I see others, I have a "whatever" attitude. As long as their fur babies are happy.

I did used to dress my dog up about 4 years ago. She loved it because the previous owners did it but than I just let her be a dog. I used to dress up my potbelly pig up I mean it's hard because they don't sit still. I think it's easier to do it as they are a baby so than that they would get used to it and be calmer maybe. Not sure, but I think it is adorable.

I don't even dress myself with jewels, let alone a pet.
Thanks for the contest.
