Book Review-Dark Side of Sunset Pointe: A Lance Underphal Mystery-Michael Allan Scott

Friday, April 3, 2020

First off I would like to mention--as does the author--that this book is definitely not for anyone under 18 or those those over 18 who get disturbed by foul language and what possibly goes on in the shadier parts of town. It gets kind of graphic!!

I will also say that I read this book in one sitting. It is definitely fast reading, one you will not want to stop until the very end. It not only has shady under world characters but also ghosts and paranormal happenings.

Lance is an unwilling psychic who is pushed by his dead wife to help with a crime case. Strange things happen. The twists and turns are varied and many.

It actually has a happy ending of sorts with Lance finally realizing that he does have a life to live and a purpose for living it!!

I received the mobi version free for my enjoyment and for a possible review.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

If hard-boiled characters like Harry Bosch, Lee Marvin, and Dave Robicheaux get you going, wait until you meet Lance Underphal and crew.

Featured on NBC, it's bruised with suspense, and bloodied by action. The first in a new breed of murder mystery thrillers. Dark, different, and based on real-life events, this genre-bending mystery will keep you up nights guessing.

Hard to put down, this one is a handful. A damaged police consultant, Lance sees murders before they happen. It's a curse and only his dead wife can save him.

Looking for a new spin on a venerable old story? This gritty novel will grab you by the eyeballs and won't let go. Give yourself a thrill. Take a walk on the Dark Side, tonight.

I do like mysteries and thrillers, so this might be my kind of book. I think the main character sounds interesting.
