Steve Daniels was injured and could no longer fly for the war effort. He was stationed instead as a teacher. He had recurring nightmares. When he first saw his commander's wife ar a bar he fell for her. Then when he reported for duty--she walked in--the commander's wife. He was invited to a party at their home. She immediately started to flirt with him.

They ended up seeing each other and then came the day when she thought he might murder her husband for her--he wouldn't. He ended up being framed for the murder and spent time in jail where he luckily had a lawyer and his assistant who were really good.

All I can say is this guy was a sucker and he could not get that woman out of his head---what happens will not shock you. There are pleanty of twists and turns which will definitely keep you reading!!

Al and Jake are asked to investigate the suicide/murder of Niles Balderelli at a police fundraiser. Things really did not seem to be right. Gio La Serta was arrested on the scene without any real investigation. But who would do this--it took a bit and help from various others--but they did crack the case. They found the murderer---but you won;t believe who it was--or maybe you will.

As usual the recipes at the back will have your mouths drooling!!

Book Review-Trailblazer-Verdant String Book 3 Michelle Diener

Although this is book 3 in the series and I never did read books 1 and 2--this can definitely be read as a standalone!

This is kind of science fiction but with lots of action. Tally was infected with some kind of alien life(?) form which took over her body and her mind while she was stranded on a ghost ship. What ever it was only seemed to have her best interests at heart. Once she was rescued from the ghost ship she was sent on a trailblazer to kind of get over the trauma I guess.

This trail was on the planet Veltros. Several others were in the group. One of them had a secret--he was a plant to find out what exactly was happening on that planet. The guide turned out to be---well you won't end up liking him at all!!

Will they be able to figure out what is going on? There is a happy ending!

She will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
