$25 Amazon/PP-Murder in the Attic: The Ozarks Cozy Mystery Series-Dianne Harman Ends 4/10

Sometimes it takes a shock to pull yourself out of grief. Continuing your job does not always help-too many memories. But she was bound and determined to keep the store running. Finding a dead body in an attic of a house that might hold some stuff she could sell in her store, sure did it for Della Fox! She thought she was a suspect and figured she'd better try to find the real culprit!! She also adopted a mixed breed very large dog (who was a police dog drop out) which helped a lot. It gave her reason to go for walks and try to find out things. It also, in my opinion, gave her something to care for and who would give her unconditional love!

She kept asking around and getting conflicting statements. She even joined a bookclub! She had spotted a pair of glasses and knew she had seen them before. Of course the police officer kept telling her to stop--and she did kind of.

This is the first in a new series by this author--and I just know I am going to love it. I want to know what happens with the store, with her love life and a lot more--I am definitely looking forward to the exr in the series!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

When a woman is grieving the loss of her husband at a young age, the last thing she needs is to find a dead body in the attic.

Della Fox’s husband never came home from his early morning run and never would. He’d been killed by a motorist. It’s been six months, and although Della has survived her tragic loss, it takes a supreme amount of effort for her just to get through each day.

But the morning she finds a dead body in the attic of an old Victorian home is the morning she begins to come alive again. Della discovers she’s a suspect in the case, because the victim was a business competitor of hers. They both owned antique and collective stores. She has to clear her name and find a suspect who has a far better motive for murder than the one attached to her.

Letting new interests back into her life is a huge step. A book club, a handsome sheriff, and a huge St. Bernard dog by the name of Moose, can certainly help a woman want to come alive again, and they do!

Join a reluctant amateur sleuth as she discovers a trait she never knew she had. She’s actually quite good at solving a murder mystery, and even the new sheriff agrees she has some sort of a special talent in this area!

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to lose a loved one. I do think that I would be able to handle things on my own.

I've been doing on my own for about 25 years now. Life is easier if you have someone to share the burden with thats for sure. Fortunately my being on my own was due to divorce not death. Death is so hard and never gets easier.

My husband died May 5, 2022 of liver cancer. He went so quick that I didn’t have time to process life without him! We were together almost 42 years and I have tons of memories with him!! I was a single mom alone with 2 children when I met him! We had 2 more of our own. I watched him with all the children and they loved him! They say children are a great judge of an adult’s character. They were right! My heart is broken 💔 I wished now that I would have went first or at least with him 😢
