Book Review-In MiLady's Chamber-Sheri Cobb South

This historical was so good I immediately went in and purchased the second in the series! John Pickett kind of reminded me of Columbo. Columbo never gave up and neither does John Pickett!! He just knows that Lady Fieldhurst did not murder her husband. He left no rock unturned--no one in the ton escaped his questioning!

Although he almost had to admit that he could not exonerate Lady Fieldhurst. She was definitely a pretty savvy detective in her own right--the real murderer showed their face! Luckily John showed up and heard the confession while said murderer was attempting to murder Lady Fieldhurst!

John Pickett and Lady Fieldhurst make a dynamic duo-I can't wait to read what happens in the next of the series when these two meet up next.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Low dealings in high society... Estranged from her husband through her failure to produce an heir, Lady Fieldhurst resolves to repay his neglect by taking a lover. Fate takes a hand when she and her would-be lover enter her bedchamber to find Lord Fieldhurst lying on the floor--with her nail scissors protruding from his neck. Bow Street Runner John Pickett, twenty-four years old and new to the Bow Street force, has spent most of his brief career chasing petty thieves and pickpockets. Nothing in his experience has prepared him for low dealings in high society--or for the beautiful young widow who is the chief suspect.
