Book Review-The China Pandemic: A Post-Apocalyptic Medical Techno Thriller Series (Graham's Resolution Bk 1)-A. R. Shaw

This novel was written as a Post-Apocalyptic novel back in 2013 (?). But you may end up feeling like it is happening right now!! This is the first in the series. I have also read a couple of others. One of these days I will read a series in order!! This can obviously be read as a stand alone.

I found myself shocked and sometimes reaching for the tissue box but I could not put it down. It did my heart good to realize that some people did try to help others and to start a new life. There are bad guys and good guys and then even some who started out not exactly bad but petrified they would contact the virus.

The ending will make you smile and make you want to read the other books in this series to see what ultimately happens.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

WHAT THE WORLD, Dreads most, Has happened. Author's Note: We're all worried about the Coronavirus. Sometimes reading a fictional scenario can help put the frightening images in perspective. In 2013, I wrote a story of hope that's eerily similar to today's events. Here's what a recent reader has to say, "This book fleshes out a possibility that's all too real. She doesn't flinch about what the realities would likely be. She also rejoices with the triumphs, small and large. By the end of the book, you are left with a hope that life will go on even as it is forever changed. It really makes you evaluate your own hopes, fears, and ethics. You're asking, '"What would I do?"' Not many authors make their characters seem so personal to me. That is something really special. This book is one you should read." - Claudia Lopez Read, how author A. R. Shaw delivers a far too plausible scenario challenging human survival.

"Powered by adept character development and relentless pacing, this post-apocalyptic novel...makes for a page-turning, end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it reading experience. ...readers will find Morgan to be an endearing hero at world's end." Kirkus Review

A weaponized bird flu ravaged the globe to near extinction. A former Seattle math professor races on a journey to survive. A community of survivalists, without immunity to the killer virus, struggle to remain undetected. A young girl is exposed, threatening war between those few left behind.

This sounds like a really great read. I am really looking forward to reading this especially because they are so much worse off in the book.
