Book Review-Devil in the Details: A Witch Cozy Mystery (Dark Lake Chronicles Book 12) -Raven Snow

Lady has been approached by Doyle and has been informed that he is calling in a favor that she owes him. Lady is kind of nervous--and who can blame her--Doyle is not exactly the nicest person around! And to make matters worse Mrs. Poole, her mentor, employer and landlady seems to think she should do it. It seems that someone has died without "paying up". Doyle is not pleased!!

Although she is not supposed to get her friends involved she does get Dom to help her. As they proceed to try and solve the mystery of who murdered Doyle's "client"--all is not as it appears. Horace, one of Lady's bothersome and trouble making brothers, somewhat gets involved and makes matters worse for Lady!!

There are some twists and turns in this one--including one that concerns Lady and Dom!! This will keep you reading--and there is a kind of cliffhanger ending--but I am sure it will get resolved in the next in this series!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Lady is enjoying some well-needed downtime when Doyle comes to cash in a favor. Years ago, someone made a deal with him. Now he’s dropped dead before he could pay up.

Lady wasn’t sure what the price was, but knowing Doyle is a sinister being older than Dark Lake itself, it was probably steep. Someone will need to pay it, preferably whoever murdered Doyle’s client. Lady simply has to figure out who that is before Doyle gets impatient.

With the help of Dom, she investigates the death of Quincy Lordes. By all accounts, he was an upstanding citizen with a loving family, which Lady is sure won’t hold true as soon as she starts digging for answers.

Twelfth Volume of the Dark Lake Chronicles Witches Cozy Mystery Series. This book is approx. 54,000 words in length. This book can be read as a standalone. Reading prior of future volumes not required to enjoy the book (though reading prior volumes first will enhance your experience). There is no cliffhanger ending.
