I do love medical mysteries and this one fits the bill perfectly!!
Three ER doctors have been working on a cure for paralysis from spine damage. They are also top in theor fields in the ER. Their prior lives have secrets--as do their wives.
One of the wives gets involved in a scheme to steal the cure and sell it to a foreign pharmaceutical company--she is found in the bottom of her pool. It takes a bit to figure out what killed her--and who.
There are quite a few people who might have done it--and people keep getting shot-kidnapped etc by a psycotic woman.
I really had a hard time putting this down---the ending will astound you. I will definitely be reading more of this series!!
