This one will keep you on your toes as you commiserate with Lady. Agnes wicked step mother is murdered--then Agnes is abducted. Adora and Fabia get into the act--they are really bratty rich kids who think they can buy everyone---and there is come kind of a noise--a really loud. annoying noise that keeps being heard. It will take Lady, Ms. Poole and several others to figure this all out and rescue Agnes!

This was a quick read--which will have you finishing it in one sitting. I really enjoyed this one and am eagarly awaiting the next in this series.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Under the tutelage of Ms. Poole, Lady has been learning magic for almost a year now. There’s a rhythm to her life that she’s grown to enjoy: Work at the inn during the day, learn magic from her employer at night.

That rhythm is thrown off when something new is added to the lesson plan. Suddenly, Ms. Poole has two more students to teach.

Adora and Fabia are the daughters of the Dark Lake mayor and their witch mother, Shannon. They’re wealthy and snobbish and completely out of touch with reality.

Lady can’t stand either of them, but when a murder hits close to home she’ll have to cooperate with them to investigate. Babysitting the sisters while trying to solve the case is going to be a challenge. Doing so without turning into a murderer herself might be impossible.

Volume Nine of the Dark Lake Chronicles Cozy Mystery Series. This book is approx. 52,000 words in length. This book can be read as a standalone. Reading prior of future volumes not required to enjoy the book (though reading prior volumes first will enhance your experience). There is no cliffhanger ending.
