Book Review-The Haunted Knight of Lady Canterley: A Historical Regency Romance-Patricia Haverton

What a read this was-I found myself routing for Lady Amelia, a free spirit, as she did everything opposite what society demanded of a young lady in every way possible! Listen to the men in her life--not on any ones life--not while her sister was somewhere-having been abducted. She thwarted the men in her family and the male friends at every turn!!

Amelia wandered around the English and Scottish countryside alone looking for clues to find her sister--she did wind up in trouble once in a while. Of course there was always someone watching her back--and he loved her with all his heart--Tristan Knight an Earl. She did not realize it of course--he vowed to himself that no matter what she would be his only love--even if she never reciprocated. There were several other males who watched over her in these escapades. You will love every one of them.

When you learn who had Amelia's sister abducted and why--you may need some tissues. It will be very hard to believe!

However, never fear--as in most Historical Romances-there is a happy ending AND if you click into the additional epilogue--you will be smiling and very happy!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

It’s dangerous, it’s terrifying, it could all fall apart. But what if it all falls together?

With their young lady’s impending nuptials approaching fast, the atmosphere at Canterley Manor couldn’t be more festive. Then one day, their happiness turns to ashes in their mouths...

When her sister Grace inexplicably disappears, Lady Amelia Dowding will do anything to find her. Determined to honor her promise to her late mother, she takes matters into her hands.

For Tristan Knight, Earl of Aylesbury, loving Amelia unrequitedly comes as natural as breathing. When it becomes apparent that she is in grave danger, he will stop at nothing to ensure her safety. Even if it means his own heartbreak.

When their trail leads them to the wilderness of Scotland, an unexpected ally points them in the right direction: the key to Grace's abduction hides in the vaults of Canterley Manor.

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Born the oldest of three children, Patricia Haverton grew up believing that she'd follow in her father's footsteps and pursue a career in science. However, her worldview changed when she decided to explore her British mother's roots. The trip to her ancestral lands solidified her conviction that she had found her true calling in the romanticism of the Era of Kings and Queens.

A hopeless romantic and a firm believer in the idea of soulmates, Patricia changed the course of her life and decided to get her degree in Creative Writing and Psychology. As she jokingly says ever so often, "she lives in the past now, where love shows the way and Dukes save the day!"

When she's not weaving tales of love that prevails, Patricia enjoys spending time with her husband, roaming the British countryside, where they have been living in for the past decade.

Now would be the time to let yourself go and experience the true magic of the Regency Era! Let your imagination run wild, live amazing adventures through the eyes of brave heroes! Like the legendary wise wizard, Patricia will be your guide!

This sounds fantastic! I absolutely love historical romances. Amelia and Tristan seem like great characters.
