Book Review-The President is Missing: A Novel-James Patterson and Bill Clinton

Wednesday, June 20, 2018

James Patterson has always been a favorite author of mine--always--I have read many of his novels--but none of them hit me with the force this one did. Collaborating with Bill Clinton they wrote a novel that should open your eyes to what could and may already be going on in this crazy world we now live in. The political arena is in worse shape then I ever remember it--they only look out for their interests--not caring who they step on to get what they want.

I did not stop reading this novel for one NY second--it was gripping with twists and turns and thoroughly thought provoking. I think this book should be required reading for all college aged students especially those going into the political arena!

There is a speech near the end by President Duncan which left me close to tears but finding myself wishing it could be so. That was by far a speech every politician and President should read and live by here and all around the world.

Instant #1 USA Today Bestseller

"President Duncan for a second term!" --USA Today
"This book's a big one." --New York Times
"Towers above most political thrillers." --Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
"The plotting is immaculate . . . the writing is taut." --Sunday Times (London)
"Ambitious and wildly readable." --New York Times Book Review

The President Is Missing confronts a threat so huge that it jeopardizes not just Pennsylvania Avenue and Wall Street, but all of America. Uncertainty and fear grip the nation. There are whispers of cyberterror and espionage and a traitor in the Cabinet. Even the President himself becomes a suspect, and then he disappears from public view . . .

Set over the course of three days, The President Is Missing sheds a stunning light upon the inner workings and vulnerabilities of our nation. Filled with information that only a former Commander-in-Chief could know, this is the most authentic, terrifying novel to come along in many years.

I have heard a lot of good things about James Patterson's writing.
I love how you include a link in your review for us to be able to read some samples of the book! That is extra useful in knowing if it feels and sounds like the right book for someone or not, by being able to sample some of it. Thanks for doing that.

I love James Patterson books. It is unfortunate that he chose to partner with an infamous person. That will hurt sales.

Hopefully this is only Bill's 1st of many novels.

It sounds like an interesting read. I would never have imagined how our political system has turned out. There is a ad lack of any leadership. I think the whole system is corrupt.
