These scales seem to be able to do everything but go shopping for you! They are amazing. Imagine having the nutritional value of foods figured out for you by portion size. The future is HERE. Click into and read Sherryl's review below--then come back and enter. This is definitely cutting edge technology!!!

About the prize/product:

EatSmart Digital Nutrition Scale
This scale has something most do not, the control panel has a white backlight which fully illuminates the display for easy readings. Now there are no excuses for my portions or weights being off. This scale has a weight capacity of up to 11 pounds which means I can use it to weigh things in and out of the kitchen.

The best part, in my opinion is that the EatSmart Digital Nutrition Scale analyzes the nutritional content of ANY food by portion size and was designed by an unparalleled team of medical professionals. The database stores the nutritional values for approximately 1,000 foods, which have been carefully selected to reflect fresh, whole foods Americans eat.

The scale will instantly calculate the cardiovascular nutrients essential for overall well being for Calories, Carbohydrates, Fiber, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Cholesterol, Calcium, Protein, Vitamin K. Additionally, the proprietary EatSmart Nutrition Facts Calculator is the only scale on the market that allows you to calculate nutrients for any food with a USDA Nutrition Facts label.

EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale w/Auto Recognition Technology
This is not your ordinary bathroom scale. It, of course, provides your body weight, but it also can be set to measure your body fat, and your body muscle and bone mass. Talk about a scale that is set up to really help you get serious when getting into shape.

The electronic system uses a BIA (Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis) technology to calculate your personal fitness.

It will track up to 8 different profiles so everyone can have a profile setup to help them improve their health.

My biggest tip for portion control is too never let yourself get starving, try to snack healthily throughout the day so when meal time comes you don't put more in your plate than what you actually need.

As a single working Mama with 2 jobs, I found that I tended to eat large meals late at night when I get home since I was been so busy during the day and missed meals. To minimize overeating and utilize portion control, I now use a salad plate for my meal (not a dinner plate+ less room to fill) and have created little healthy snack bags for me and my family to take with us to work and school. To help with portion control, use serving spoons that measure out a cup and storage containers that hold a cup, two cups, etc.

I buy food already in small packaging. I try to snack on veggie sticks during the day.

I use smaller plates to eat off of so I use smaller portions.

I try to only cook what I need, and if I do over cook, I immediately put into containers for lunch/dinner the next day. When I cook only what I am going to eat, I am less likely to want seconds.

I eat smaller portions, but don't deny my cravings.

Use a small plate instead of a dinner plate. Your brain will think the plate is full.

As a serial dieter I would say to use fitness pal and track what you eat in a day! I know it has helped me realize that I was eating way too much!! This helps you allocate your calories properly!

I eat smaller portions so I have what I want but in moderation

I think a serving size is about the size of your hand.

I just eat smaller meals and try to snack healthy.

My tip is to use a smaller plate or bowl and don't go back for seconds.
