This giveaway is sponsored by First Alert and hosted by Mom Does Reviews

October is Fire Prevention Month and First Alert wants YOUR family to be ready! October is an important time to make sure your home and family are taking key safety steps and know what to do in case of emergency. The Super Prepared family is here to help! Practice fire safety and make your family “super prepared” too!

In NYS it is the law to have both a fire and a carbon dioxide alarm in your home. In apartments they also have to be in the hallways! It really makes sense to have a fire extinguisher in or very near your kitchen as well. The last thing anyone wants is to have their home catch on fire--but if it does--it is so much better to be warned so that you and your family will get safely outside until the firemen can get there. As for carbon dioxide--without an alarm you may not even know it is escaping until it is much too late. One very lucky winner will win all the below listed items by First Alert. And please, even if you don't win--you really should get these items for your home!! Click into the youtube video below!!

I believe that we are prepared for a fire. Just installed an egress window, yesterday, in the basement.

I think we are prepared.

I think we are prepared, we have our exit routes and we have a fire alarm and extinguisher.

For the most part, I would say yes but I do think we need to update our fire alarms as we've had them forever and we do not own a carbon monoxide detector.

mostly, got alarms on every floor but if the stairs going up are aflame the only option is off the roof

We have had two house fires. A lot has been learned and we are far more prepared now from our experience. I keep a firesafe with extra keys and documents now.

Yes and no. We do have smoke detector's but we only have one entrance into/out of our home. We do have both a large and small fireproof safe.

My family is definitely prepared. Being a lead for our County in Red Cross, we have to be! This is an amazing kit - thanks for the chance.
