This is the best yet in this series in my opinion! It will really keep you reading.

What in the world is happening at this camp? Granted it was formed for children who aren't exactly model citizens--but really--counselors keep disappearing!

Foxy is very close to having her baby and she is scared---will motherhood rob her of her independence to solve mysteries that seem to abound in the town of Waresville? When her best friend tells her of the occurrences at the camp she has enrolled her daughter in Foxy promises to check it out. Something is not right! How Foxy manages to keep up with the activities at the camp in her condition (9 months) is anyone's guess--but she refuses to give up-she even gets her step son to help her out!

Will she get to bottom of this before her baby is born? Will she find the missing counselors and stop the Satanist in their tracks? You really need to read this one!!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Waresville is a tiny, hard to find town that once you find, you wish you never did. With all manner of witches, vampires, ghouls, and goblins running around, this town has earned its supernatural reputation. And its supernatural reputation is what earns it tourist revenue. But even the citizens of Waresville have their limits on what they’ll put up with. So when a camp for troubled kids moves in, the town is in an uproar. But it’s not long until the campground becomes the site for a very Waresville-esque mystery. The kind of mystery that draws the attention of Harper Beck, amateur sleuth, amateur witch, and profession party machine. When she catches a whiff of missing campers at Camp Happy Place, she figures this is just the thing to keep her mind off of impending motherhood.

Unfortunately for Harper, this mystery is anything but typical. The kids are vicious, the counselors are hiding something, and dark forces are at work in Waresville. Keeping her distance is impossible. When the last of the counselors goes missing under Harper’s nose, she must volunteer herself and her stepson Cooper to help keep the camp open long enough for her to solve the case. With familiar faces, a healthy dose of dangerous magic, and a whole lot of hiking, this is Harper’s most physically challenging case yet. If she can survive capture the flag, arts and crafts, and the possibly killer campers, she might be able to catch a Satanist. Will Harper find the counselors and the kidnapping culprit? Or will her new baby be motherless before its first birthday rolls around?

Fourteenth Volume of the Harper "Foxxy" Beck Mystery Series. Approx. 50,000 words in length. It is a standalone (reading prior or future volumes not required to enjoy the book, no cliffhanger).

This would be a read for my daughter, not me. I worry about my grandchildren going to camp as it is. Foxy does grab my attention with that sheriff husband of hers. Will she ever have a peaceful, quiet marriage? I guess no.

My mother in law is always worried when we go camping. I think this book may make it worst for her. Sounds interesting though!
