On My Way Home from NYC

Friday, August 18, 2017

On Tuesday night I had a nightmare--that I was shot while driving to work in NYC. Some guy had come up to my window which was slightly lowered and demanded cash which I did not have. I tried telling him but he drew a gun and stuck it and his hand through my window. Having electric windows I immediately shut it causing him to drop the gun in my car--but not before he pulled the trigger. Someone called the Police and the next thing I knew I was in the hospital---then I woke up. I was around 1:30-2:00 in the morning and I was kinda shook up--I sat down to my computer. I finally did get to sleep 2 or 3 hours later.

Now it is Wednesday and I have to get up and get ready to go to a client---in NYC. Oh well--it was just a dream. It was a beautiful day very little traffic. The traffic in NYC in the summertime is sometimes not as congested--such was the case. I was doubly thankful that the President had already left town or there would have been major backups! Got to work and managed to do all 7 bank rec's in around 3 hours--not bad considering I had to do a major correction since something had slipped since the last time I was there and I had to get a certain account straightened out.

I was still in a marvelous mood as I walked to my car in the parking garage about 1/2 a block away. Not even the cost of parking got to me. So off I drove headed home. I decided to drive down Madison Ave and go over the Madison Ave Bridge to get out of Manhattan, I was about 1 block from the entryway to the bridge when I noticed some guy meandering around cars and showing them something--I SHUT my window! He walked past my car--looked in--I couldn't tell what he was trying to offer (sell) me-I slightly shook my head--he kept on walking. Thinking back--it was really small--maybe he was peddling drugs?

I got home and turned on my computer---the night before there had been a holdup at a gas station up the street from where I live. UH--did I hear something in my subconscious which caused that dream and how did I know someone would approach my car somewhere in NYC? I'm still a bit freaked out if the truth be known and am hoping that I don't have any more nightmares for a very long time!!

I'm glad you had a nice little jaunt into NYC. I love positive days. As for the nightmare I am sorry, they really rattle me. I don't have them often but when I do I get freaked.
