I somehow missed reading Murder at Catmmando Mountain Georgie Shaw Cozy Mystery #1 in this series so I can honestly say that these can be read as stand alone. There is enough background to keep you from having to figure it all out! This is also short enough that it can be read quickly (no excuses for not having the time).

Will Georgie finally be able to put the attack that happened years ago to her and which killed or didn't kill her boyfriend to rest. Who did it back then--If you read Murder at Catmmando Mountain I'm sure these were questions that you were left with--I know I would have been. All will be answered in this book. Now to go get the 3rd in this series!!

About the Book: (from Amazon)

Georgie Shaw and Detective Jack Wheeler have a second chance at love—despite the fact they met during the investigation of a Murder at Catmmando Mountain. Decades earlier, Georgie lost the love of her life in an attack on the beach that left one man dead and two others missing including her fiancĂ©, Danny Farrell. When Georgie returns to Corsario Cove, more than memories haunt her as a song Danny wrote just for her echoes in the air: Love Notes in the Key of Sea. Who else, other than she and Danny could know that song? A new mystery brought Georgie and Jack together, will an old one drive them apart?

Life is an extravaganza! figuring out how to hang tough and make the most of the wild ride is the challenge.

On my way to Oahu to join the rock musician and high school drop-out I had met in San Diego and married in Tijuana, I was nabbed by the police as a runaway. When the police let me go and the rock band broke up, my husband and I had to find another way to survive. Our next stop: Disney World where we trained to be chefs, courtesy of the Walt Disney World University. A GED for my husband and many more years of education landed us in academia at The Ohio State University. Retired now from my role as a professor in social work and behavioral science, I have picked up a long-time interest in writing fiction. I'm still married to the same sweet guy and live with him in the Palm Springs area. In addition to reading and writing fiction, I enjoy painting, hiking, hanging out with my handsome husband and tending to my Siamese kitties.

An award-winning and bestselling author I enjoy snooping into life's mysteries with fun, fiction, & food—California style! My books include the Jessica Huntington Desert Cities Mystery series set in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs, the Corsario Cove Cozy Mystery series set on California’s Central Coast, and The Georgie Shaw Cozy Mystery series set in Orange County, California--the OC. Coming soon: The Misadventures of Betsy Stark also set here in the Coachella Valley. Find out more at http://www.desertcitiesmystery.com

You make this sound so suspenseful! I love a good mystery and this seems like it will have you guessing through most of the book. I love that!

Thanks so much for reviewing Love Notes in the Key of Sea, Georgie Shaw's second novella in her cozy mystery series. Our past can haunt us whether it's a tragic event, a first love, or a bit of music. In Georgie's case, it's all three. She has a second chance at love, so I'm rooting for her.

I must admit, I very rarely read romance novels. But this sounds like love+murder/mystery so that's all good!

This sounds like another great read. I like the possibility of a 'lost' love returning and the suspense of rather or not she will stay with the one she's with. Also what could have happened to him years ago?

Thanks for the review. I think this will be an interesting read because of the romance + mystery theme. I have to get some books to read to last me till the end of the year and I will include this in my list.

I'm not much for romance novels, but this seems worth reading as it is romance embroiled in mystery (my favorite)!

Sounds like another good one! I really admire these writers who can come up with mystery after mystery. I wish I could do that!

I would never have guessed from the title that it was mystery. Sounds like a good combination of romance and suspense though.
