E-Book-5-WW-At Dusk-John W. Mefford-Ends 10/1

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

It is so hard for anyone to look at a child and realize he is a sociopath--and a killer! What makes them this way? Is it the way they have been brought up or genetics? Probably a bit of both. What this child does as an adult is horrendous--can Alex and her team catch and stop him?

Meanwhile Alex's daughter is growing up--will Alex be able to get through those teen years while still working? And will she finally give in and come out of the closet about her boyfriend and co-worker?

This is another great read from John W. Mefford that will have you turning those pages wanting to know what happens next.

Alex Troutt Thriller, Book #5

AT Dusk

A little boy makes his first kill—and he likes it. He is cunning, charming, and without remorse.

He is a sociopath.

As boy turns to man, what lies inside takes root. He will make a mark on Boston unlike any other, and FBI Special Agent Alex Troutt must figure out how to stop him.

But when she and her close-knit team move in closer, the stakes become much higher as the case takes on a more personal tone. It’s a frantic race to stop a manipulative killer before his web of deceit and destruction escalates into a blood bath of haunting proportions.

About the Author

A veteran of the corporate wars, former journalist, and true studier of human and social behavior, best-selling author John W. Mefford has been writing novels since he first entered the work force twenty-five years ago, although he never put words on paper until late 2009.

John writes novels full of intrigue, suspense, and thrills, but they also evoke an emotional connection with the characters.

When he’s not writing, he chases three kids around, slaves away in the yard, reads, takes in as many sports as time allows, watches all sorts of movies, and continues to make mental notes of people and societies across the land.

John lives in Frisco, Texas with his beautiful wife, three opinionated kids, and a feisty fat cat who rules the world.

Yikes, he sounds like a sociopath on the worst level. I feel a little odd liking this kind of book because the people are so twisted, but I DO!

Mel said...

Wow, that is captivating. It is so sad that a child would have been that way too but, it can happen. Thanks!

Oh my goodness reading stories of a sociopath makes me nervous. We have so many real stories about crime that happens for real. I bet this book has you chewing your nails until the end.

This book sounds really scary. I wonder why a little boy killed someone, but I guess I have to read the book to know why it all happened.

What a frightening tale and a mind twister that should appeal to those who enjoy the genre. I'm not a fan of horror/thrillers.
