This one left me with tears in my eyes--I am such a romantic and I love happy endings. Trent and Reese got married on Rockwell Island where they both grew up. Did you ever see two people where the chemistry was just as apparent to you as to the couple? This was one of those cases. They got married and moved to NYC where Trent was starting his legal firm and Reese was going to try and get galleries to show and sell her artwork. Then one day Reese just up and left leaving Trent a "Dear Trent note" and headed home. For 10 years these two were mostly miserable--then Trent was called back to the Island to help with the family resort by his Grandfather-a curmudgeon if ever there was one. When Trent and Reese bumped into each other the spark was still there but so was the fear of being hurt once again. Can these two find their way back to each other now there they are older and a bit wiser? You will have to read the book to find out--just make sure you have your tissue box ready at the end!

NEW RELEASE....

Cape Cod Promises is the second book from the Love on Rockwell Island Contemporary Romance Series by New York Times & USA bestselling authors Bella Andre & Melissa Foster.

Fall in love on Rockwell Island...Sink your toes into the sandy beaches at the heart of Cape Cod Bay, where family comes first, good friends are around every corner, and true love is waiting beneath the stars.

Trent Rockwell has it all—a thriving legal practice, coownership of the Rockwell Resort, and a big, loving family. And yet his failed marriage to Reese Nicholson has haunted him for ten long years. Now that he has moved back to Cape Cod Bay to help run his family’s resort, he is surrounded by memories of Reese…and he can’t stop longing for the woman he’d always believed was his one true love.…

At nineteen, artist Reese Nicholson was swept off her feet by the handsome, charming, and incredibly sensual Trent Rockwell. After a whirlwind courtship, they married and moved to New York City, where they hoped all of their personal and professional dreams would come true. But six months later, Reese returned to Rockwell Island brokenhearted and disillusioned.

For a decade, Trent and Reese carefully kept their distance. But all it takes is one accidental late-night encounter to immediately stir the desires they have both tried to bury deep. Powerless to resist the heat between them, every passionate kiss, loving caress, and heartfelt apology draws them closer together. So close that they can’t help but wonder if the promises they once made to love each other forever are still true...

Love on Rockwell Island Book 1, Cape Cod Kisses

When Quinn Rockwell left Rockwell Island a decade ago to build a shipping empire, he never thought he’d return to live on Cape Cod Bay—that is, until his grandfather summons Quinn and his four siblings to take over the prestigious Rockwell Resort. Quinn is already working fifteen-hour days, and the last thing he has time for is his grandfather’s demands. But on his first night back, when Quinn finds a gorgeous and carefree woman skinny-dipping in his favorite cove, he’s tempted to ignore his work for a while...and focus on her instead.

As a free spirit who follows her heart and her dreams, Shelley Walters is not the kind of girl to wait around for Mr. Right, so she heads to Rockwell Island for the honeymoon of her dreams—a solo honeymoon. Ready for a week of sun and fun, she never expected to meet a man like Quinn Rockwell.

Wealthy and intensely driven, Quinn is everything Shelley swore she didn’t want. Refreshingly spontaneous and a true romantic, Shelley is everything Quinn never knew he needed. Drawn together despite their differences, during a week of sizzling-hot passion and deep conversations, they fall head over heels for each other. But when their perfect week on the island is over, will their love survive in the real world?

Sounds like a great plot - very romantic with a twinge of emotional pain from lost love. Do you know if there's a spanish translation of the book available? My mom could really enjoy a story like this.

This looks like such a light, romantic read. It doesn't hurt that it reminds me of summer, which I really wasn't even nearly ready to say goodbye to.

It was a very emotional read.

I can't remember if I've ever broken any big promises, I'm usually one to keep a promise if I make one. ;)

I don't believe I've ever broken a big promise. If' I make a promise, I keep it, so I don't make them lightly...

Unknown said...

Honestly I've never broken a big promise that I can recall...

Sandra Watts said...

I don't break promises. I don't make them unless I can keep them.

Unknown said...

Biggest promise I've broken? Probably one to my parents when I was a teen. Something about remaining a virgin. :-)

Unknown said...

Hmm... that's a difficult one. I don't know if it's the biggest promise I ever broke, but a coworker confided in me her middle name, with which she was not very fond. She asked me not to tell anyone...

... by some point, I thought she had told everyone, so I used her middle name in conversation one day... yeah, she hadn't told anyone else. So I think that might be considered a promise broken, albeit an accidental one.

God bless,
Miles

I have only broken small or medial promises. I've never broken any large promises.
