Book Review-MORE THAN FRIENDS (Warrior Series Book 4)-Laura Taylor

Friday, May 15, 2015

I read Desert Rose ( my review here ) and loved it-that was Book#1 in this series. More then Friends is Book#4 which should tell you something-these novels are definite stand alones. I do think I want to eventually read Books 2 and 3. Laura Taylor is an extremely gifted romance writer.

More Then Friends is definitely a romance worth reading--it will keep you wondering and hoping that Leah and Brett get back together. Never mind that he left her 6 years before because--well-he never did tell her the truth (and you will have to read it to believe it).

Leah was kidnapped and has no memory of anything-even of who she is--Brett, who feels guilty stays with her to protect her. Even with total memory loss Leah knows she wants and trusts Brett who is doing his dardest to stay as just friends. He didn't think that once she regained her memory she would ever love him again. Leah does not give up and as her memory slowly returns the only thing she is sure of is that she and Brett belong together.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

MORE THAN FRIENDS (Warrior Series - Book #4)
Contemporary Series Romance with a Military Hero.

On the heels of a failed kidnapping attempt, Leah Holbrook awakens in a hospital ER to a world she doesn’t recognize and a man she doesn’t remember. She needs his protection, but she also craves the burn of his sensuality. He is determined to safeguard this woman who has always owned him, heart and soul. His greatest anxiety - that she will recall his betrayal of her trust. Naval Intelligence Officer Brett Upton is a man Leah intuitively trusts, and she is certain that they are ... MORE THAN FRIENDS.

I like books that you don't have to read in order in a series! It sounds like this is a winner! I haven't read any by her yet.

It sounds like it slowly moves back to love and I'll bet you just sit there rooting for it the whole time. Love it!

I appreciate stand-alones because I like to dive right in when I find a book. It'd be a disappointment to have to hunt down the others when I'm excited to get going. This sounds like a great story. I love a good love story.

I'm more of an 1800s fiction reader. However, reading about this book has me interested in reading the entire thing.

I think I'd have to read them all in order. It's one of those things that drives me insane if I skip books. This sounds like an intriguing series!

Sounds like an endearing sorry. We all could use a little more romance in our lives and this sounds like a great way to add it in.
