$15.00 Starbucks GC plus Scrigit (it will save your manicure!)-Ends 5/28

Thursday, April 30, 2015

I was asked to review Scrigit--a portable small tool that helps you to remove all manner of labels, stuck on food etc. It says it is also good for opening shrink wrapped materials--you know those CD's you are dying to listen to IF you can get the shrink wrap off. I generally end up using a sharp steak knife for that procedure but I have cut myself on occasion so not such a great idea. I'm pretty lucky with my nails--they are hard and grow very quickly. I find myself using my nails not only for things I want to get off or open--but also for my Mom and clients! They generally have just had their nails done professionally or their nails just aren't strong and they know mine won't break as easily. I really do not mind helping everyone out--but I am not always around. My Mom of course will just bring whatever object it is to the car and I have to sit there and get the label off or open it BEFORE we can leave. Think I'll be handing my Mom one of the Scrigits I received but honestly she will probably still get me to do it!! I will be keeping one in the glove compartment for such occasions!!

What I am really happy about is that it helps get those labels off plastic contains--I recycle and try as I might I can never quite get those labels off and you really should not leave them on--And there is the remains of an old sticker on my rear window of my car--finally--I can get it off there. Strange how little things can make you very happy!!

Here is a video to watch to get an idea of how great this product is--and watch how it can be used. It is sold on Amazon and the prices are very reasonable! $6.99 Pack of 2 and $9.99 Pack of 5 The links below will take you to the Amazon pages (I am not an affiliate)

This is so cool. I really hate getting into those sealed toy packages. If your not careful you can cut yourself. I would love to win one and drink Starbucks while I use it!!

I know so many people love Starbucks, so I am sure this will be a popular giveaway!

I'd use it to get all those stickers off of things! I do wreck my nails that way!

I laughed about your mom. My mom would probably still make me do it too. ;) I learned that they have flat and round edges. I'd use it most to remove old box labels. I reuse my boxes when I mail things out and sometimes getting those labels off is a bear.

Awesome!! I love Starbucks! I wish they delivered though... lol

What a genius idea for a product! My nails break very easily, but labels are just annoying to try and peel off anyway even if they didn't break. This sounds like a perfect solution!

I learned they make a flat edge and rounded edge scraper. I'd use this to remove labels off of items instead of using my fingernails.

I have so many little fix it projects that would be taken care of it with this! And, I love a visit to Starbucks!

What a great tool. I am always struggling to open my daughter's new toys so I could definitely use it.

I think these are great! I needed one today when I was scrapping a gummy label off an ink pad. I like the small size and the flat and round ends.

This looks like a very handy tool!
I didn't learn anything else new from their website. I, too, have strong thumbnails and lately have been using them to open those pesky pill packages that the pills are supposed to just pop out. They DON'T just pop out and sometimes even require scissors! I'm glad to have found out about Scrigit.

I learned that it is a tool, not a chemical, so I would feel comfortable using it almost on anything, including nails. I tend to favor more natural products, so that fact it's not a harsh chemical got me happy.

I learned the it's made of hygienic plastic and safe to use on plexiglass windows. I'll use it to scrape the paint off the glass on my french doors. No amount of razor blading seems to be able to get into the corners, I think the shape and size of this will be perfect!

Gabby in Progress said...

I would use the Scrigit to open soda pop can ( because I bite my nails to the nub) and to scrape all the dried food that my kids leave on the counters. The counters are old tile and the grout is really hard to clean. I can see how the scrapper would really help out in cleaning the grout lines.

Unknown said...

It has a round edge and a flat edge and I will use it to get stickers off my dishware!

Gina Gallagher said...

I will use this tool for removing price stickers. I wish I had thought of this idea. :)

I learned that the design of the Scrigit Scraper cleaning tool is based on the shape of a finger nail as well as the shape of a pen and I would use this on adhesive labels.

I learned the Scrigit Scraper is a versatile cleaning tool that provides a quick, safe and convenient alternative to fingernails and other types of scrapers as a way to remove small amounts of common substances, such as food, candle wax, soap, paint, adhesive labels, grease and grime, from flat and curved household surfaces, such as dishes, kitchen and bathroom counter tops and floors. I would use it to scrape off adhesive labels from some of the items I buy.

Unknown said...

I learned that the Scrigit Scraper has two scrapers on it: a rounded edge scraper and a flat edge scraper. I would use it to remove paint from the edges of my mirror. I tried to use my fingernails, but they weren't strong enough to get it all off. This would be perfect for that.
