A lot of us grew up watching Elmer Fudd--but that was fantasyland--cartoon land--NOT REAL LIFE!!!
I am against guns--probably because I live in a town that is crowded and very near NYC. Too many people have been innocent victims of guns going off--either on purpose or by accident. A shot goes off in one apartment and a child is killed in the apartment next door--and yes that has happened.
Plenty of store owners own registered guns and I can't really say I blame them with all the hold ups that go on. But for heavens sake people if you are going to have a registered or unregistered gun in your home--lock it away where none of your children can get to it (and that includes your teenagers). How many times do we have to hear about a high school or a middle school child "borrowing" their parents guns and trying to shoot up people they don't like at those schools. Or a police officer shooting an unarmed person because they are so paranoid now they think they see guns in everyone's hand.
This is my opinion and you can either agree with me or agree to disagree. Just remember Guns don't kill people-people do--with the guns in their hands!!

I think it's a legit concern these days. I don't begrudge people the right to own a gun, but yes, it needs to be locked up and out of children's hands.
I don't like guns but sure do wish more good people with good aim carried them!
