Book Review-Running With Wild Blood-Gerrie Ferris Finger

It took me a while to get into this book and to figure out what was going on. I have to admit I never would have guessed who the real bad guy was!!

Biker gangs have a pretty bad reputation--not always deserved if this book is to be believed. Richard Lake is with the Atlanta Police. Moriah Dru used to be a policewoman-but has since left the force and become a P.I. Her employees are unbelievable at ferreting out clues whether legally or illegally. Just as an aside-Richard and Moriah are an "item" but very low key as neither is quite ready to get married (or at least one of them isn't ready)!

Will Moriah and her employees be able to find out the secret of why Juliet Trapp was murdered and where Juliet's father is while exonerating the Biker Gang of any wrong doing? You really have to read this book cause that's all I can tell you! There is something at the end which makes me want to keep reading this series---------------

About the Book: (from The Authors Blog)

Richard Lake of the Atlanta Police Department gets a cold case when a witness suddenly gets his memory back.

Lake recruits Moriah Dru to look into the murder of Juliet Trapp‚ sixteen when she died‚ and a student at Winters Farm Academy.

Juliet Trapp had told her mother she was going to Bike Week with Wild Blood‚ an outlaw motorcycle gang‚ over the Christmas break.

The police were unable to solve Juliet's murder after interviews with the bikers.

The case roars into high gear when Juliet's father‚ Sherman Trapp‚ is murdered in Chattanooga where Wild Blood is the predominant motorcycle club.

Dru discovers that Trapp was trying to find the killer of his daughter‚ but got too close.

Dru and Lake join forces with a wary Wild Blood to solve the murders and clear the club -- if, indeed, everyone in it can be cleared of murder.

COMING JANUARY 21, 2015 (Yup that's today!)

About the Author: (from Amazon)

Gerrie Ferris Finger won The Malice Domestic/St. Martin's Minotaur Best First Traditional Novel for THE END GAME, published by St. Martin's on April 27, 2010. The second in the series, THE LAST TEMPTATION, will release July 2012 from Five Star. Five Star will also release the third in the series, THE DEVIL LAUGHED, in 2013.

Gerrie grew up in Missouri then went South to write for The Atlanta Constitution. She traveled the Tobacco Roads of Georgia and Alabama and the narrow, historic streets of New Orleans. She wrote about Natchez, Mississippi's unique history, Florida's diverse population, and the Outer Banks struggle to keep light houses from toppling into the sea. Visits to Cape Hatteras resulted in her historical paranormal, THE GHOST SHIP.

WHISPERING, a romance, is set on one of Georgia's barrier islands.

Three books in the Laura Kate O'Connell Plantation Series were set in southwest Georgia's plantation region. They are: WHEN SERPENTS DIE, HONORED DAUGHTERS and WAGON DOGS. The print editions of the Laura Kate Series will be released beginning January 2012

MERCILESS is the first in her novella series. HEARTLESS is the second.

Very interesting. My uncle was a biker and yes the image can be scary but he was the gentlest soul ever. I am sure my cousin would love to read this story.

I hate and love plot like that. I hate it because it take you long to realized what's going on but love it at the same time because it keeps you guessing and thinking lol.

With the popularity of shows like Sons of Anarchy, I'll bet this turns out to be a very popular book.

If it took you a while to figure out what's going on, in my mind, that's the sign of a really good book :)

I've known lots of bikers over the years and I think they do get a bad wrap. Some of the nicest people I know sport tattoos and ride a Harley. This sounds like a good read!

If a book doesn't grab me in the first chapter, I won't read on. It sounds like this one might be like that.

Thanks so much for the wonderful review of my novel. It was great fun to write and research, as I am not a biker. I would have loved to be Dru on the bike seat behind Lake, though. Happy reading everyone and happy new year, too.
