For quite a while now (months in fact) I have been wondering if I had a great Alexa ranking because of all the spammer comments I was busy deleting each and every day. Google used to put the Anonymous comments into a spam folder which I then went through just in case. There have been a couple that weren't spam and I would correct them. WELL--someone at Google or Alexa or maybe they put their collective heads together finally figured it out. Although it says in my back end that Anonymous people can comment and that no Captcha is ever needed--guess what--suddenly like overnight--no spam comments and my Alexa is going up, up, up. Luckily I do not do too many product reviews (nor do I want to). Plus--people who never had trouble commenting on my posts before ARE. I just don't have the strength or the time at the moment to try and call Google--By the way-the same number of spammers are still coming according to the stats!
Next up--my feelings were very badly hurt, I actually was sitting here with tears coming down my eyes by something that occurred on line-I am not going to go into this-lets just say I won't be going there anymore!
Then my Mom switched one of her doctor appointments without telling me. I had to quickly call my client and switch for a different day. She is still swearing that she did not do that--YEAH RIGHT--oh well. I took my Mom to her appointment and then went to lunch at a really good Chinese Restaurant--I love their pepper steak and the lunch portion is the perfect size. After we ate I was told of the errands we had to do. One of them was to go to the other side of that outdoor strip mall. I dropped her off at the door and parked. Suddenly this woman comes up to my car and tells me her Dad told her to come tell me I had a badly flat tire (glad I'm not the only one who gets bossed around by a parent!)--------------------My Mom comes out and I point out the problem to her. I have AAA and Geico but didn't feel like waiting hours and this was Central Ave--lots of gas stations and a tire place down the road a piece. So off I drove--I pulled into the first gas station I saw-My Mom went in to see if they sold tires--of course not. Meanwhile-I am standing looking forlorn just staring at that tire. A man comes up to me and asks if I would like him to change the tire. Of course I said YES please. My Mom was in shock. This poor guy really had to work at it-it was not easy-one of his friends came over to help him! OK-donut on-but they tell me that was kind of low (they were correct) and that there was a place literally around the corner where they could help me. I tried to give the guy some money-HE REFUSED TO TAKE IT. Around the corner I drove. This place was kind of new so I hadn't even known they were there. They fixed and sold tires!! Granted they are used tires but appear in very good shape. 2 tires for $60.00. Then they told me they also do oil changes etc--I asked them to check my oil. I knew there was probably next to none in there and I was right--2 quarts of oil and a lecture from the guys working on it! Will I go back there to have the oil changed? You bet your life I will!!
Now here I sit on Sunday--I had just put up a really nice giveaway and very easy to enter (only 4 things to do)on Saturday, $25.00 Amazon/PP-WW- @HappyHarvest Giveaway Hop-Ends 11/10 suddenly I was made aware by a very nice blogger that my comment box was not there!! It took about an hour and I still don't know what caused it--but the comment box is back!
I will be spending the bulk of the rest of the day reading and writing up reviews so if you don't see me--you know where I am--
