Book Review-The New Reality-Stephen Martino

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

Why does it seem to me like all the medical doctors are suddenly writing medical thrillers? This one will certainly have you reading far into the night and praying that this does not become the new reality! So much of what is depicted could actually occur and, if the truth be known is already happening. I don't want to blow the story for you so I am going to say not one more peep--READ IT--and let's not allow this to really become our future!

About the Book: (Amazon)

Author Stephen Martino delivers an action-packed medical thriller in a heart-stopping race to save humanity. After a deadly retrovirus is inadvertently released upon the planet in 2080, no country is financially prepared to deal with such a disaster. Only the acclaimed neuroscientist, Alex Pella, and NIH expert, Marissa Ambrosia, have the audacity to lead a search for the cure while simultaneously fending off a foreign elite military unit sent to stop them. Guided by an ancient code concealed within the Hebrew text of the Old Testament, the scientists must traverse ancient lands and attempt to solve a biblical riddle in order to save humanity from its eminent destruction. Drawing from both our nation s politically charged environment and the worldwide economic crisis, The New Reality follows Alex Pella on a journey that projects a frightening path for human existence in the twenty-first century.

I can just imagine what a Doctor sees dealing with patients. And, when you are dealing with medical disasters... who knows what can happen. Sounds like a very thrilling read indeed.

Thanks for having me on this site. I hope all who obtain a copy of the book enjoy reading it as much as I did in writing it.

I never thought I'd like medical thrillers, but read a few in the fall and was intrigued. This is a new genre for me.

I think ONLY doctors should be writing medical thrillers! It just makes sense. It bugs me when there are simple errors of medical terminology or something that is not actually "real" in medicine. I'm sure this is a great read for someone like me! :)

Nice to see you're also reviewing this book. I've reviewed it on my blog about a month or so ago. The publisher was so thrilled, they want to add a comment by me on the back cover of the book. I'm tickled pink :)

I honestly was not aware of medical thrillers as a genre. I must be living in a cave lol. It sounds great, though. Your life is so exciting ~ letting your imagination go wild and learning so much!
