You have heard me talk about my Mom before. She is 91 and in really good shape for her age. She still lives alone in her own apartment. I often think about what I would do if all of a sudden she needed more help then I am able to give her. As a bookkeeper i have worked in several private homes where there was 24/7 home care. There are pros and cons but anything is better then having to put them into a nursing home. I have worked in nursing homes also and I really don't ever want to have to put my Mom in one. The reality is I can not live with my Mom--we would kill each other!! We are as different as black and white! AND what if she fell and required help for a couple of months full time-----

Yes, I have been thinking about this a lot lately and have pretty much decided on home care. In my search for home care agencies I came across Presidio Home Care. I only wish I lived in the Foothill Communities and the Greater Los Angeles area. This is definitely the type of home care agency I would love to find for my Mom if she needed it.

Just two weeks ago, we moved my Hubs Mom and Dad into an assisted living apartment. I know soon, we will have to get them more help. It seems they are getting worse fast.

As my mom ages, I worry about her. We've told her she is welcome to live with us. This sounds like a great program.

I have entered! I could use an extra $50

I'm not as concerned about my parents as I am about my in-laws. We are wondering what we'll do when they need to come live with us; our house isn't really ready for in-home care.

My mother is the one I am worried about because my dad has been told he don't have much longer. Great giveaway.

I hate to think about things like this, but the truth is, my parents are getting older and I really have to.

Great giveaway. Now that the babyboomers are getting older, there will be a lot of improvements in the housing of elderly.

Yeah. This is one of my problems right now. Thinking about a living with me though...

Great giveaway. My family is in this industry and it's definitely hard for the elderly and hearing all their stories. I love companies like this.

Home care and assisted living are so important for our elderly population.

This is a great giveaway! Luckily I won't be having to think about this situation at the moment but it's great to learn more when having to make decisions in the future.

Great giveaway and I have a mother who really need to read this post. She doesn't believe in assisted living and I've been trying to convince her that she needs the help.

My grandpa was about 88 when his health started to deteriorate. Until then, he went out every single day and walked around for HOURS doing errands and things he loved. We opted for home care for him also, because it's what he wanted.

My FIL is 91, so I found this very interesting to come across just now. Thankfully, he's very independent & has a good handle on many of his changing needs. The thing that worries us most now is that my MIL recently passed and he's heartbroken.
