Book Review - Blind Sight - Marc Douglas

Monday, January 27, 2014

I was rather confused for the first maybe 50 pages of this book--then I finally realized that the background of the major players was being explained. Most if not all have been psychologically damaged by events in their lives prior to the events in this book. There were times that I found myself almost feeling sorry for the bad guys! As I kept reading I got more and more interested until finally I could not stop until I reached the end! This is a true psychological thriller in my opinion with myriad twists and turns which will possibly remain with you long after you finish the book. Definitely a must read for those of you who love this type of novel, which I do.

About the Book: (from Amazon)

A young married couple takes a vacation in a remote area. They stop in an isolated pub and become the obsession of a wanna-be biker gang. A thriller, page turner with twists and turns. Inspired by Dean Koontz.

That sounds similar to a book I recently read, I had a hard time following until it finally clicked and then I could not put it down. I will have to check this one out.

I confuse easily, especially when I don't have a visual, so this probably isn't the book for me, but I bet my hubby would love it!!

I love a book that gets you so involved that you can't stop reading it. It's my very favorite way to be distracted from housework. :)

It's hard for me when I get no idea what's happening in the first 50 pages of reading but but it's good everything is working out and good for you now. :)

It is hard for me to get into books when they take a while to have you understand the characters and story plot. But I still enjoy thrillers. This one may be a good read, but the slow beginning might make it hard for me to enjoy.

I just read a book that had a confusing start like this because the background was being given.

Sometimes if I don't understand the story in the beginning, I tend to loose interest and stop reading the book all together. Since I have read your review, I am confident I could finish reading this book.

This book definitely sounds like a thriller with the creepy element of having the couple in a remote area.

Ha, those kind of reads! I felt the same yesterday when I watched a mystery movie. At first I was confused then towards the end that's when it sunk in lol.

I love thrillers that drag you into the book. I remember reading a book once that seemed so real that I actually felt scared for the hero. This sounds like one I would love to read as well.

Sounds like a fun thriller! Love the it's inspired by Koontz, his earlier work (anything before Odd Thomas) was among my all-time favorites.

The book sounds like something I read in the news. Wondering about that but quite thrilling. Might get a copy.
